I just came back from a vacation and there are so many little flies around my plants. Does anybody have any suggestions how to prevent and get rid of them. Thx in advance!

Hey hey planty people 💚 I need some tips/care advice. I just got a small Variegated Maranta and have another bigger one coming in the mail this week. It is my very first time trying a Maranta so I am truly clueless about how to care for them. I have been binge-watching videos about them and have learnt that they want medium indirect light which is so hard for me to assess what that means? Lol 😂 I have my plants in my living room which has a big East facing window which does get a lot of direct light in the mornings. I initially thought about placing it as seen on the left picture which is a TV console table about 7 ft away from the window. It does get some direct-ish sun rays (as you can probably see) in the mornings but Idk if it is too little light. Then I thought about placing it about 1-2 feet below my T5 Barrina lights in one of my shelves (see right picture). But again, I don’t know if that is too little light. I want to keep this plant healthy and also keep the variegation consistent 🩷 If anyone can offer some guidance, I would really appreciate it 🙏🏻

So I set my plants out side then had to go todo some errands by the time I came back the sun was beaming on this prayer plant and not she looks sad 😔 will she be ok? What should I do??

Hey guys! I posted in another group but it’s literally crickets. The surrounding posts got comments and I’m here like 🥲 Can someone help? Might be shock from transferring pots since the other was too big but if anyone knows for sure, I’d appreciate the help. Here’s my post from the other group: I got this beauty for Mother’s Day. Full of white flowers. I had to repot him because his pot was too big (totally my fault) but I’m not sure if he’s coming back or still mad at me lol. Planta says I should water him today but the self watering pot I had him in kept him pretty moist so I wanted to skip again. Soil isn’t as moist as it was in the other pot but he could go for a little water if I forced it. What do y’all think? Any tips? Thanks 🙏🏽

Had to do another repot of our Coffea arabica. Jasmine, Tasnim, Anouska, Layla, and Nadia are growing so well!
