Hi! Does anyone know why the bigger leaves may be unhappy on my Watermelon Peperomia? I keep it in moderate to bright light near my window inside, I just watered her. Also, the app was unable to diagnose what’s wrong with the stems, if anyone knows, thank you!

This is one of my air plant arrangements. I really love these ones, but I haven’t added three of them to Planta because I can’t figure out what type they are and for a couple of my other ones, I do know what they are but Planta doesn’t recognize them. Any air plant aficionados out there who can help me identify this group? I know the one in the bottom left is a Tillandsia Funkiana. Thanks ahead of time! 🙏🏼💚

What to do. I have been posting often. As of this spring I am a new plant parent to houseplants and also doubled down with an outdoor greenhouse so everything about house plants and greenhouses is a learning curve for me. Thanks for all of the very helpful suggestions and responses. All of which have been spot on.

It’s Q and A time! Question and Amaryllis!
Today was a soaker of a rain that came through the Philadelphia area. With there being less daylight and sun I had moved my 3 Amaryllis bulbs into a more sunny location in my back yard. They got good and watered again today and they have lots of drainage.
It’s September 9th and I’m so worried about bringing them in so they can bust at the holidays that I may bring them in too early.
When when when can and should I begin to help them versus letting nature take its course?
The three bulbs were purchased last holiday year. One wax covered and one non-wax covered. Both of those produced red trumpet flowers. After the wax bulb was done I removed the wax and planted it. It was so happy it produced 2 more stalks with four red trumpet flowers. More than when it was enclosed in wax. The other non-wax coated bulb had an attitude of “Big deal. Such a show off.” and gave no more flowers.
The third bulb was a Lowes rescue after the holidays. There were bulbs just thrown everywhere and I put them back in their boxes and wished them all good luck in find a home. As I was walking away one bulb fell outta its box and I picked it up again and purchased it.
It produced 3 stalks of four huge white trumpet flowers.
I probably could have and should have put all three in one pot but two are in one and one is by itself.
The two images are the bulbs now and the wax bulb after I removed the wax and planted the bulb in a cylinder chinese food wonton soup take out container that I punched holes in to drain. I think because the roots also got light is why I got so many huge blooms.

Is it normal for air plants to be brown/lighter in color towards the base?

Hi there! I’ve been really struggling with my parlor palm and just had to make some clippings again. Not really sure how to care for this plant, any recommendations??
There’s always growing leaves and crispy ones and has been stunted in growth. I haven’t thought to check out its roots.

My roommate and I work at a hardware store and she pointed me in the direction of these ladies in need of rescue. I’ve never had either of them before, so any advice is appreciated. The money tree’s root system is looking a little rough, but here’s to hoping it perks up. The alocasia has a yellowed tip on one leaf, but when I went through her root ball, I found thirteen corms. I’m going to try to sprout them. Wish me luck!

My Alocasia Zebrina, named Zina, is alive and thriving! I got a new pot she’s chilling in while indoors from this morning’s storm. I bought her before knowing her soil can never dry out! I left town for a funeral and she let me know with dry tips and spots. We are better, now.
Her pot with no drain holes is from Lost in The Forrest online. It’s titled‘Kabasa Pot’ and comes in mint, white, and three sizes

This is an 🆘!! I’ve been struggling with my money tree for almost a year now. Long story short, when we got her she was about four inches, over the course of seven years she grew to about 5-6 feet… and then I’m sorry to say she got root rot. I trimmed and washed the roots, pruned her back by about two feet, removed all the dying foliage, and repotted her in a pot with better soil and proper drainage. Three months under the grow light (Jan-March) and she starts getting new shoots. When she looked strong enough, I moved her back to the spot where she always used to flourish. She keeps getting new sprouts now, but they wilt and die before they can mature. I did a consult with a plant doctor, and they said she wasn’t getting enough light. So a month ago, I started acclimatizing her to the additional light of a grow light. At first she seemed to love it. Then one of the stems started to wither. The plant doctor said it was some kind of rot and I needed to remove it, which I did immediately. But now she’s just sad. None of the new shoots make it past a day or two. Her stems are about 3.5 feet tall, she has no side branches, and just a few teensy wilting leaves at the top. But I’m not ready to give up on her. Would it make sense to prune her all the way down to a foot, give her a smaller pot, and let her build her strength from her root system instead of hoping that these leaves will make it? Or can’t you prune money trees all the way back? Any advice would be so appreciated. She was our first plant, and it was pure luck that she thrived for such a long time because all I did was give her some water once every two weeks and the occasional bit of liquid fertilizer. Please help me save Money Penny! 🙏🏼

Could someone explain why my arrowhead is leaning? Idk if she's leaning for sun or what? She's right in front of the window.
