Can avocado trees be kept within a foot of a floor vent? I have seen websites that say avocados cannot be kept next to vents or in a room with a fireplace. Why?

Do you reuse your soil? Or toss it and start fresh?

Look how cuteeeee, didnt know they did this!

I was just having a look at all of my plants and realised that one of my prayer plants has some white streaks, is this rare? I've googled it and seen variegated ones that look similar it would be very cool if it was! any tips for caring for it would also be helpful to keep her thriving, she is one of many in my collection!

Has anyone ever used their fish tank water for their plants? also i just bought these beautiful plants but i really don’t know much. i did spray them for pest, any other suggestions??

Hey guys I need some help. I had this pothos for a couple of months now, this is how I bought it. I do change the water every 2 weeks or when I notice it’s brownish/yellowish, i have it on my window where it gets enough sunlight. I noticed it hasn’t really grown much. What can I do to get this girl to grow more fuller? Thanks in advance 😊🫶🏽

My painted nettle. Is this a painted nettle ‘oxford street’?

I’m very new to taking care of plants. Silly question but I bought a Zz plant because the nursery said it’s hard to kill. When I water it can I water the leaves too or just the soil? I just repotted her in a pot that has a drain hole and I watered her on my balcony until the water came out of the hole. I brought her back inside 8 feet away from the window.

Help! Why is she yellowing?

(Do I need more plants? No)Bringing home new plants is always scary for me because I’m afraid of pests. (Especially buying plants from places like Lowes) . I plan on going home and cleaning these babies. Wish me luck!

hi so i want to transfer my peace lily and monstera into water permanently. Does anybody have any tips? Do i just put them in a bowl of water and leave them alone? Also how harsh is the transition stage and will they experience shock? The peace lily has very good roots and i just watered her yesterday. The monstera on the other hand has alot less roots. I watered her like a month ago but her soil is still suspiciously wet.

Hello, Bought this Monstera a few months back and it’s thriving and now it’s growing a new leaf as well 🤞 but everytime I see it I think it needs repotting, I’m scared to repot it as it’s clearly root bound and I’ve read not to repot during fall or winter months. Please guide.

Question… Could I put a grow light in this lamp and will it be beneficial to my ZZ Plant if I do. The room gets good sun but I’m just wondering if a grow light might help. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The picture of the room is there and ZZ would be just out of the picture on the left side (I needed to rearrange and had to move him).

Does the Planta App take rainy weather into consideration regarding outdoor watering schedule? Does it adjust the schedule? Thanks!

Are these spider eggs in my potting soil or am I stupid? Saw these in three of my plants that all use the same soil so I’m not sure if it’s eggs or maybe the potting soil just does that?

So does anyone else get stumped on ideas on plant placement (clustertype)? I have a couple different areas, like my bedroom and bathroom that is my head hurt. 🤯 I just don't know what to do. Please give me some ideas...any and all are welcome. Thank you.

So I’m very new when it comes to plants I planted some flowers over the summer that ended up dying and the soil has been sitting in the pot outside since then I need to plant some new plants that I’m propagating, do I need to buy fresh soil or can I just use the soil that I already have that’s been in the pots?
