My first experience with plant death and taking it kinda hard. My husband brought me home a Spanish Lavender and forgot to take the stopper out. I would never have imagined that it had one so didn’t even consider it an option. Tried repotting and drying out. Cactus soil the whole bit. Finally I planted it in the sandy, rocky soil that I should’ve done in the first place hoping for a miracle. I took some cuttings and have been nursing them for 48 days and was doing okay until it wasn’t and now it’s done as well. Just overnight. From day to day it was so finicky. I did ALL the things for so long for nothing. Very frustrated and emotional 😭.

is this root rot? what can i do to save her
Dollar Tree is definitely the place to get things for your plants, you just have to think outside the box! I have a Monstera that I’m training, and I was trying to think of the most economical way to get it started. I found these hanging baskets, turned them upside down, and started training the plant around them. They’re pretty sturdy, too. I attached them to the stake using a few pieces of the chain that came with the baskets. I hope when the vines the fill in, the contraption won't look as janky. 😒
A little over a month ago, I posted about how my moon cactus, Rainbow, was budding. She finally bloomed a week or so ago 🥹 You could say I’m “over the moon” about it! 🤪
Hot take: if the plant cutting is already on the ground in a grocery store, let’s say a succulent; it’s not considered stealing to take the cutting home!!
welcoming these beautiful babies to the bunch 🌿🧚🏽♀️✨i'm so excited 🥹🌱
It may be 100 degrees, but my begonias are living their best life!
Gifted a part of my Dragon Bone Tree to a friend and all I wanted was a cutting from her Thai Constellation Monstera. Ugh… I got 6 more plant cuttings total. Even my dogs are eyeballing me now. 🤣 Not pictured, the porch plants. The app helpfully tells me I’m up to 31 plants. And I have 2 more cuttings coming in the mail. Maybe the dogs won’t notice?
Repot or wait? Google images/AI says to repot and folks in a Facebook group said to wait. I probably should just take it out the pot to see how bad the roots are. 🤔🤔
does anyone know what kind of plant this is??
Hello! Does anyone know what plant this is? I’ve tried the lookup tool on here and have tried a google image search and it says it’s a Flaming Katy. I just wanted to see if anyone could confirm this or add any extra information. It had flowers at one point which have died off for the season.
I hydrangea doesn’t look good at all this year. Should I cut it back down to the roots this fall and allow new growth. Usually it’s very full. This is what it looks like last year. And this is what it looks like this year. Any suggestions
I’m as beginner as it gets. Orchids are my favorite flower. I’ve never been able to keep one alive. Just bought a small one for my new apartment… 2 weeks in… please give me any and all tips! Thank you 🤍 If I can figure this out, I’ll be happy forever lol
This is a lipstick plant i got, I’m in love with it and was only £15 from the garden centre, most of its flowers have fallen off on the way home, does anyone have any care tips ? Thanks
We moved here and found this apple tree. When should we trim it back?
Grapes are growing so well does any one know how to tell when they are ready please?
So I just separated and repotted my monsteras. They were growing together in a small pot and the leaves were too clustered, so I separated them. One pulled out without any problem, it looked like it had been propagated because it only had one root and was growing from a larger stem cut at a 45 degree angle. The roots were not entangled, so it was generally a very easy repotting. Now the plant that got moved to the other pot has these gray brown spots on its leaves, and it’s starting to worry me. The original pot is now growing another baby leaf so ik that one’s doing fine. Any tips for my propagated monstera?
I bought a Firebird revert a few months ago, hoping it would throw some new variegated leaves.. And it did!! So pretty.

When life hands you lemons, grow lemon trees. I started these 2 weeks apart. It took the seeds about 2 weeks to germinate. I used about 7 seeds and got growth from 2 of them.
