My daughter gave me two sprigs of her ZZ plant. Now, what do I do?

I have been out of work for 10.5 months. Very stressful. I had an interview that went really well this week. They had a Philodendron Painted Lady and Pink Princess in the lobby. Maybe it is a sign!!!!

UPDATE: Heard from customer service and they offered refund or replacement. What’s your experience with purchasing plants from Planta? I’m posting here because I haven’t gotten a reply from customer service. I bought two plants. One (monstera) looks great but the philodendron came with issues.

Hello all! I’m new to the community and plants. I just got these pink Dutch hyacinths, i did see they are poisonous. I am wondering if I can pot them already. They are indoors on my windowsill getting sunlight since it’s too hot outside 85 degrees F.

Do you guys think these roots are mature enough to go in a pot with soil mix? They’ve been water propagating in a glass for about 2 months now.

Hi all, just looking for a piece of advice, I want to purchase a plant to go on this windowsill. My last one had to be moved because it gets an awful lot of direct sunlight so I need something that can cope with that and grow to a reasonable size. Any suggestions, please?

I know I’ve already just made a post about this… but isn’t she beautiful? My new pickup, ta-da! 🤗

I’m having issues with my ficus, I’ve never owned one but the leaves are growing some have dropped. It used to be very compact and tall but now it’s growing wider. I’ve tried to keep the water consistent and not over water. I’ve noted these brown bumps as well, is this scales? I’m not sure if this is the main issue

First time Fiddle Leaf Fig parent here 🫣 his name is Fernie 💙 I’m petrified yet excited and have been learning and researching like crazy to ensure he lives a long life. Any suggestions? I’ve watered him, cleaned him up as instructed and let him take in the sun about two hours a day and has light all day. Idk. Just don’t wanna fail. 🙏🏼TY

Hello! Does anyone know if this is a new shoot? I've never had a plant make a new shoot before, and I know some plants will grow new shoots but I didn't think smaller plants did. Any advice would help, I recently had to spray her with Neem oil due to fungus gnats but she has a whole heck of a lot of new leaves growing in.

i cut off the top off my small rubber tree to encourage branching and i am finally seeing signs if success 😅 the cutting hasn’t started rooting yet (i think). i have it in conditioned tap water with a pothos piece. let me know if you’ve done this before ☺️

Just picked these cute little pincushion, moss balls from outside my yard🥰 (they’re tagged as sphagnum, but there was no pincushion so I just picked the closest one😂)

There has been new growth coming out of another stem of my calathea leopardina, which is causing the whole stem to tip over. What should I do? Also any tips on not making the tips dry out?

Flower Friday! What is blooming in your world today?!💚

Amy

This one took a beating this winter besides my best efforts. I would like to report it, too. While less tricky than the Staghorn fern, I’m not sure what to do about the brown bit and would appreciate advise on how to make it thrive again. TIA.

Hello! Here’s a tricky one for me: how to repot this Staghorn fern? I bought it like this a year ago but is impossible to fertilize like this and I would eventually like to have it in a hanging basket. Any info/insight appreciated! (Bonus points if you can see the lizard’s tail). 😊

Why is it that all or most of my plants seem to love pushing their roots thru the drainage holes?! It would be one thing if they were rootbound, but no these usually only have roots towards the bottom of the pot and plenty more room to grow! Makes it harder to know when to repot! I know they reach towards water, but there's no reservoir on some of these pots. It's crazy to me! Ok, rant over. My apologies!
