Hi everyone, I’m very much a beginner when it comes to owning plants. I have a Japanese Aralia. It’s not grown at all since buying it at the beginning of June. It’s also produced a yellow leaf and has some cracks in some of the leaves too. I’ve attached pics of all of this and the roots. Does it need repotting? Or is this normal? Any help is much appreciated:)

Hello there, I am in the process of trying to figure out how to help my pepperomia. I am a newbie, and have purchased a few “easy” plants for my north-facing balcony and am trying not to kill anything. This plant looked great for a while and last week I noticed a few leaves were looking yellow-ish and some leaves crusty and dry at the tips. After some online investigation it appears it might be overwatered and possibly needing more light so I placed it in a corner of my balcony with brighter light but it has continued to decline. Today I purchased a terracotta pot and re-potted it but the roots and soil felt healthy and dry, not what I expected from an over-watered plant. The shriveled, rotting leaves that I pulled off however were gooey at the base of their stems. I have also purchased a grow light I am waiting to be delivered to aid some plants that might need a little extra. Am I on the right track?

*NOT MY PICTURE* I have a Calathea Vittata that is still alive but has browning on the tips. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong so I can help it grow more? Im making sure its staying in a semi-lit area and making sure I give it a mist and plant food in the water. What am I doing wrong??

Same with this one. When I had it potted it was dying on me. This is the healthiest it’s been. Should I just keep it in water or pot it?

Just noticed one of the flowers of my peace lily has this dark spot. She's healthy, blooming. She has 3, and have 3 more flowers coming out, she only had one when u was gifted it. ... is this some type of natural fluke? This is my first peace lily. Have had it for about a month.

I have plant that is called a Zebra ‘nova fuego’ or in plant lingo, ‘aphelandra squarro’. Planta does not recognize it; I tried to add it, but I don’t think I was successful. I’m trying to research how wide and tall this plant will get; its growth pattern is absolutely astonishing… you’d think I was feeding it spinach every day, 😋! If anyone has one of these, and can fill in the blanks for me, (to include any little quirks I may not know about), I would sincerely appreciate that info. TIA. 🤗💚🪴

I have a Philodendron (Birkin) I’ve had her for almost three weeks. I’ve never watered her because whenever I check the soil it’s extremely wet!!! When I purchased her, she was inside a nursery pot that sat inside a pretty decorative pot!! I just repotted her last night, only because when I picked it up to check it more thoroughly, I noticed the nursery pot was cracked all the way down on the side!!!! However, she looks a little weird to me?!?!?! I’ve repotted plants before. But this one is not sitting up right!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions or can tell what I did wrong!!!!!! I’ve been keeping this buddy in my “spa”.. high humidity and grow lights. I just repotted into a hydro medium.. I’m wondering if the spa is too bright.. plants says part sun part shade. Has been acting like an alocasia.. new leaf out old one drops. Any suggestions or advice or opinions??

Anyone have experience with this fertilizer? I purchased a big old cactus last year, and the previous owner swears by it. I haven't had much luck with fertilizer in that...I just messed it up.
