what are y’all’s thoughts on removing dead leaves that have fallen off from inside the pot? on one hand it’s very satisfying to me to remove an old leaf because it means new ones are coming in, but on the other hand i feel like it could be a fertilizer of sorts. would love to hear any other thoughts! 🪿

Is this pot too small? Should I size up? He was recently repotted into this one which is slightly bigger than the nursery pot and just enough space for the root ball size, which is what I’ve read/heard to go by when choosing pot sizes. But a friend suggested the pot be bigger for the leaves. They are growing long and bending and actually cracking at the bending point.
Is this is silver dragon alocasia? They have her labeled as a silver pothos but this ain’t no pothos. But I really wanted to save her and she was on clearance but what first steps would you guys take? I didn’t have a good experience with my first alocasia so I’m really hoping I can do it this time.
I need help, and a few more responses will help me decide if I need to return these and get full spectrum? A plant buddy told me these should work. Thoughts?🤍🪴
My ZZ plant got root rot but I think I can save it. Can anyone give me advice? I cut the rot off with clean shears. Now what? Let it callus, I think? Do I use growth hormone? Or alcohol concoction? I’m so sorry, little guy. Any help is appreciated!
Help there’s gnats flying around my indoor plants? New plant mom here. What should I do?
Anyone remember me? 😅 I'm back! My phone/OS was too old and no longer supported, so I lost access to the community pages for the last few months. But one of my coworkers graciously gave me an old phone she had, so all my apps are working again! 😂 Here's a little update of my main plant area 💚
Oh my goooodness🤩 I decided to refresh the damp tissue that my bonsai seeds were germinating in in the fridge, only to find that 4 of the 6 seeds have started to open up🌱 hopefully start to see proper seedlings soon… Does anyone know how to plant bonsai? Should I only plant one seed per pot? Any advice on anything is very much appreciated:))

What do you all think of self-watering planters? I was gifted a plant in one of them and I’ve seen mixed reviews. So far so good but I’m a little nervous, I don’t want to lose another plant to root rot😭
i was very recently gifted this snake plant, but i’m still very new to plant care. how is it looking? any care tips? she’s usually inside with partial light, i just need to find a new indoor spot for her now that im home from college.

I have a money tree that is growing growing growing 😂 which I love but I wanted to know if I’m supposed to continue braiding the trunk? As it’s getting bigger it’s spreading out and I’d rather it grow up than out but I’m not sure how to braid it
My most successful propagation 😋 Show me yours 🙃
Fuchsia Thymifolia Care Hi everyone, I need some care advice for my new thyme-leafed fuchsia. I currently have it planted in a shallow bonsai pot with a well draining succulent mix and bonsai soil. The app here says to water this plant ONCE EVERY 28 DAYS which I know can’t be right. I have a myrtle in bonsai pot that’s doing very well and I literally water it every day and the apps suggestions seem to be spot on there. My question is, given these conditions and the existence of my plant in a pretty warm office (with grow light) how often should I water and use liquid fertilizer? Right now I’m watering about once every 4-5 days and fertilizing every two weeks.
Hi guys!! I saw one larvae in my Alocasia and I freaked out. I repotted it. I didn’t see any other one. Anyway, I think I made a mistake and I am scared of my plant dying. What can I do? I washed off the soil from the roots (it was a good soil), and now I’m letting in dry close to a fan. What should I do next? The picture of the new soil and the place I usually leave my alocasia is in this post. I leave it in the shelf because it can be toxic to my cat. Please, help me..
This is George. He’s a Hosta Fortunei and my current problem child, as the app is telling me he needs more humidity, but that full sun is not good for him, as well as that I should not mist him. If I can’t put him outside, I don’t know how to increase the humidity for him when it’s currently summer and all the nice free humidity is outside and my AC is pretty non-negotiable indoors. Any advice for increasing humidity for indoor plants without misting?
I saw this image post on a website and it helped me more visually understand light levels. I dont know how accurate this is so if it is incorrect let me know, but I thought I would share anyway if it can be helpful
hello! I was gifted this ponytail palm and I am not sure what is wrong with it! It keeps yellowing at the ends, it’s still growing! But everything keeps slowly turning yellow.
What plant do you think this is? 😂
