I just purchased this gorgeous pitcher plant! Any tips would be greatly appreciated! I’ve had two friends who couldn’t keep them alive. I have two skylights and a large east facing sliding glass door. Thanks!

I just got a lady palm. My question is, some of the roots are just jutting up and out from the base at crazy angles. Is that okay? I don’t feel a need to trim them, I’m just wondering if it’s good for them to be out of the soil. Any general lady palm advice is also welcome!!

Recently went to the Botanical Building in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. These green leaves were so huge they could have been used as a jacket. I don’t typically like the red plant, begonias?, but the way the light bounced off it was gorgeous.

Picked up this Tiny Dancer at a local nursery today. Named him Tony Danza. 😆 (Already have another plant named after Elton John, so I had to go with something else. Lol)

I have never thought I could use my stairwell for plants and now I’m so excited!! I saw this post on Instagram. Has anyone else used brackets like this on a stairwell?? I have a stairwell opposite some floor to ceiling west facing windows so I could really do this!

SOS I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING!!!!! I started taking care of plants as a way of therapy. Well go figure everything is dying under my care and I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Even with this apps help. I’m adding some photos below so maybe yall can help. 😞 My plants get as much sun as my balcony allows it too. Honestly my Canna lily might be the worst off and the second worst off is probably my Lavender. Both fertilized on 6/5.

Pleeeasse help! I recently got these begonia cuttings from a friend and I have no idea what variety they are. Every plant app I’ve tried keeps identifying them as a Polka Dot Begonia, but I’m pretty sure that’s not correct. Now I’m completely confused and can’t seem to find them anywhere. Maybe I’m not searching for the right thing, but I’d really love some help figuring out what this begonia is!

My little girl LIT UP when she saw her new flowers this morning! First time seed planters and we were both tickled! Dollar Tree seeds really outdone themselves and I was thrilled for even the tinniest sign of life! Doodle, Twinkle and Lolly have just joined the group chat!

I think one of the helicopters is taking root at 7.

Foliage Friday! Lets see those amazing leaves! 💚

I have a question about grow lights. I’m looking for a single lamp with a cord that I can hang from the ceiling over my giant monstera. She needs more light desperately! I’ve searched the local Walmarts and Home Depots but I’m not finding what I need. I’d like to find something locally before I search Amazon. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I just don't understand - please help. We are in Savannah,Ga. I got my lemon basil on May 1st. She was about 6-8" tall. Planta asks repeatedly to pinch flowers off- from the get-go. I looked up what her 'flowers' were supposed to look like, in case I was missing something, but there are and never have been flowers and Planta doesn't have an option to say no flowers to pinch off (but that's another problem). The only real place I have for her is the patio where she gets part sun-part shade, but a bit heavier on the sun. You can see she is now 18inches tall. My questions: 1. Is she healthy? 2. Am I supposed to see flowers? 3. Why am I not seeing flowers? 4. Is it detrimental to her health if there are no flowers? 5. What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I’m new here and to the plant community!! I was given a monstera the other day got everything set up for her..then I watered her because she was very dry. Today I woke up to water droplets in a couple places. Can anyone tell me what this means or help me out with some monstera tips?

Any suggestions on how to get her to show me love in return? She’s in a chunky mix with perlite, orchid bark mix and indoor soil, she’s in my master bedroom (most humid room) in a south facing window and has been fertilized this last week. I have had her two months and haven’t seen much other then microscopic nubs🫠 am I missing something?! Help!😬
