I’m still learning to use this moisture meter, and have a question regarding its use. I’m noticing when I put it in the soil, I was told by one member, to push it all the way down to the bottom. When I do that, I notice if I wait a minute or two, this meter continues to drop in regards to moisture content. Is this the way I should be using this meter; do I really push it all the way to the bottom and then wait for the reading, which will take a minute or two or what? TIA!

Ok, I’m feeling a bit silly doing this, but I got an avocado pit and, for some reason, decided to try and… propagate-ish it? I have no idea how this works or if I’m even doing this right, so please help, haha I couldn’t get the toothpick through the avocado so I just… got an umbrella one and got a ✨tropical✨ avocado pit now, lol can anyone help?

My little “Triangularis” is going on her usual binge of dropping leaves; I think it’s a seasonal thing. However, I’ve noticed these black spots on the backs of her leaves… ☹️! What is it? She’s been treated for black spot, so I don’t know if it’s the leftover markings of that disease, or if it’s something else. Could it be SCALE? I do have a large ficus in a back bedroom, that’s not near her, that is consistently treated for scale, but it doesn’t look like this at all… her spots are small white sticky circles. HELP!… TIA!

Found these cute little containers and trays at the dollar store. Drilled a hole in the bottom and planted one of my new starts. Does anyone know what type of plant this is? Thanks for the help

When do you guys fertilize your plants? I know most plants should be fertilized during their growing season, which is typically spring and summer. However if you are seeing new growth on your plant during the winter is a good idea to fertilize now ? Thanks!

HAPPY DAISY DAY! This day has been around since the early 20th century and is dedicated to celebrating one of nature's most beautiful flowers. Daisies have long symbolized innocence, purity, love and joy throughout history. Daisies are native to Northern Europe but can be found in North America, Australia, Africa, South America and even Iceland and Greenland. The word daisy comes from the Old English language, “day’s eye” because its petals blossom at dawn and shut at dusk. What are your thoughts about them?
