everyone here in the US, stay warm! this is your friendly reminder to move sensitive plants away from cold windows and vents as we crank the heat up during this snow storm 🌿❄️
Indoor plant zones are doing well, even though it’s -12 outside right now😅😂
Let's play a game 😁 GUESS THAT CLOSE-UP! Post a super close-up photo in the comments of a leaf or stem, and we will all try to guess what the plant is. 🧐
Look at these beauties!!

I got this plant January 9th and I feel like it’s dying, I give it sunlight everyday and water when it’s needed. Can someone tell me if it’s dying and if there’s anything I can do? Please and Than you

As a relatively new plant mom, I get so excited when I see new growth. And I’m glad to have a community that understands and shares in my excitement.

Hey all - I have this neon Pothos, and I can’t quite figure out what’s going on with it. I have a few other others scattered around my apartment, but this one in particular seems to have a weird problem. It’s getting super dense towards the end and not wanting to continue vining. The leaves are super condensed at the ball towards the end and they have a lot of blackish brown spots on them and you can see a lot of roots along the stem trying to grow. Two things come to mind. Is it too close to the window and it has no way of getting further away from the direct sunlight? In the last picture, I tried to show the perspective of it in the room that it is in where maybe the air vent that blows on it is drying it up so it’s turning the leaves yellowish and causing it to not vine more? I’m starting to think that it is simply just too close to the window for this type of plant since the other one seemed to be doing just fine that are a little further away from the window. Any help would be great!
Foliage Friday! Let’s celebrate leaves! Share your most striking foliage, patterns, colors, or textures. This is my huge snake plant and when the sun hits it just the right way, it really showcases those beautiful patterns 💚
Went to Home Depot for drywall, 2x4’s and things to work on basement stairwell wall & had to go back in and get this Beauty.. The soil was extremely dry and the leaves had a lot of damage from no lõvẽ. Brought it home gave it some TLC a new pot and I will call him Two-Face ( it’s a Philodendron Carmel “Pluto”)
Hello everyone!! This is my umbrella plant, I was wondering why it started drooping. She doesn’t have an exact watering schedule.. I’m not to good with those. But- she was doing just fine previously. I got her this winter, so I don’t think that’s the issue. I’m just not quite sure..
For those of us in the southeastern US facing an upcoming ice storm that’s predicted to have extended power outages along with low temperatures (well below freezing): any creative ideas for keeping tropical houseplants alive in the cold? We have a small living room with a fireplace and so far my best plan is to move as many of my plants in there as possible without getting too close to the fire, but I may not have enough room. Unfortunately it is too late to get any kind of generator or battery powered space heaters.
Found a variegated Aeschynanthus lobbianus at The Rhoads Garden today. Sadly decided to leave it behind for someone else since it wasn’t in the greatest condition, but if anyone has one of these, I’d love to see how they look once more mature or blooming 😊 Feel free to turn this into a thread to share any of your goldfish or lipstick plants 🌸
