I’ve had 2 ferns for 2 1/2 years. I’m zone 6b so bring them in my basement to go dormant for winter. Can I get them looking healthy again or is it a lost cause at this point?? TIA

Hi plant friends! I just received the is CALAMONDIN tree and she’s been acclimating outside for the past couple of days since being shipped to me in Texas from Florida. I want to repot her in a bigger pot so she has room to grow and because spring is pretty much here and now is the time to repot. BUT, in the few days she’s been with me she already has 3 flowers! and a teeny tiny fruit growing! (plus the flower next to it that already dropped its petals) I added pics for reference. The pot size 5ā€ diameter and she’s about 2ft tall. Any advice on if i should repot or leave her alone bc she’s got fruit/flowers? Thanks in advance!!

Hi all! I am brand spankin new to all things plants so I truly have zero idea what I’m doing but I’m determined to do my best with my new babies! I got this fiddle from my local farmers market and it came in a pot without drainage holes, no nursery pot inside. Is this typical when buying a fiddle? Everything I’ve read has said drainage is a must for these so I was surprised they didn’t have any in it. Does it matter if I just drill holes into this pot or is it better to repot it? Since I don’t know when it was last watered and re-potted how long do you typically wait to do both of these when you purchase a new plant? Also, she’s on my porch which is east facing. I have her in a corner where the light isn’t too direct and rotate every so often. Pretty much all fiddles I’ve seen people have inside, but I don’t really have a good spot by a window for her in my place. Is this okay? I live in San Diego so it’s really never too hot, humid or dry. Thank you!

I think my seersucker plant is far to gone to save. I repotted it in better potting soil and put it in a smaller pot. But I don’t think it’s coming back 🄲

Hello! So is it okay that my Swiss cheese monstera is pushing water out and into its roots? Ik that means I gave it too much water but it will be fine right? Cus it’s like a natural thing… I think?

I’m looking to calm my anxiety about transitioning many of my plants to pon today šŸ™ˆ Anyone well-versed in it and can assure me I didn’t just kill all my plants in changing over? I’m focusing mostly on calatheas/marantas, begonia, ficcus (maybe?), and philodendrons. Any tips?

Also, just an update on this split leaf prop from back in January — if you were here for this — I had no idea what I was doingšŸ˜‚ I chopped the top 2 inches off with the leaves and put that in water, which now has beautiful roots. I ended up keeping the cutting of the trunk too and now I have ✨this✨ Lets just say he grew parts in all the right places, and has quite the hairdošŸ§šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø
