Just got this beauty! I’ve never owned one before but it’s in a self watering pot, which I’ve also never owned. How do they work? When I brought her home, I kind of turned the plant over to get a peek inside. I thought it was a pot inside a pot, but the soil sits on top of a “shelf” in the pot, that has holes, so when you water it my guess is the water collects at the bottom under the shelf, and then waters from underneath for a while. Anyone have experience with this kind of pot? Is there a setting in Planta for it? What kind of watering routine should I follow? I noticed there’s a little window underneath that you can see the water level through.

What does my mint need??? I got this pot of mint two weeks ago. It was lush and full of leaves smelling very nice. I’ve been watering everyday or every other day and it just keeps turning brown and down…. What is happening? 😢

Every summer I move some of my plants outside and every summer they grow so tall that I can't fit them back where they were supposed to be. I never learn. lol. The two cactus in the front were in that window before I moved them out. Now they don't fit. 🤦🏼♀️

What plants do people like to collect? I just recently “completed” my monstera (deliciosa) collection by getting this beautiful Aurea cutting! I also really love collecting pothos (I have golden, jessenia, manjula, cebu blue, marble queen, snow queen, lemon meringue, njoy, global green and neon) For monstera the 4 pictured, not in order, are regular monstera, albo, thai con (in comments), mint, and aurea

yall, the gasp that left my soul…. (i asked my boyfriend to do some work in my studio while i was at work yeast and when i come home today i realized he accidentally switched off the ceiling fan on his way out ( i have my fan and ac running 24/7 so i believe the no circulation & how dried out he was getting already since arrival aug 13th did it? he was doing okay the day before but my studio tends to run pretty HOTT (88F+ without ceiling fan and AC) and i’ve been trying to get the TEMP, RH & humidifier in the sweet spot for my jungle gang but when i pulled him from his shelf for watering this hurt. the calatheas soil was BONE DRY. my moisture meter was barely able to penetrate the soil.. definitely going to be more on my chores and duties. [[everyone got a distilled watering]]🥲 please don’t roast me too bad 😭😭

I made this plant bag that I keep my repotting/plant things in and I wanted to know what other plant essentials/things I should keep in it. I’ve been doing this for a while and have a few other bags the green one I keep my cut water bottles to use as planters I keep the white and green one in my house so when I need to go out I can grab it and if I need something else I don’t have to go in and out.
