Good morning. I need some advice about when to take the frost cloths (lightweight and breathable) off of my fatsia japonica, moonlit lace viburnum, gardenia and others. It’s warmed to 39 degrees F but should I keep them on longer for warmth? They were newly planted in October, zone 9 US, and it doesn’t seem like they’d be entirely established yet. Thanks in advance.

I got this monstera a few days ago, when I received it I checked the soil for pests and roots looked healthy (but I didn’t do a deep check). I have kept it as isolated as possible from my other plants just to be cautious. It doesn’t seem to have any pests and I’ve also kept it with a grow light for 12 hrs a day, I haven’t watered since I got her on Monday since the soil was very wet (still is). This is my first ever monstera so I have no clue what I’m doing. Not sure if this is a plant that likes snug roots or it this is even considered snug roots lol First two pictures are from day 1(only one leaf was yellowing). Last two are from today. Not sure if I should repot or just change out the soil entirely since it’s “packed” and still wet.

How to over-winter a Dwarf Papyrus??? This grass plant was given to me, I generally keep low maintenance plants-so I’m not too confident with this plant 😏 but all my research to over-winterize him, is contradicting Planta’s instructions. The picture is from when I first got him-he spent there summer outside- now he’s twice as big! I have him inside (but no great window place) receives some indirect sun from East and recently got it a grow light. How much do I water? How often to mist him?? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm soooo touched y'all! I just received "Freya", my 1st Xmas plant of the year. Isn't she adorable? Of COURSE she'll be potted & spoiled beyond belief!❤️🥰🌿☘️🪴

This frydek turned out not to have a ton of variegation on it & I thought I’d be bummed about it. However it’s still as beautiful as ever. Doesn’t rly matter the variegation since each leaf is so unique - that’s what I love about these 🤩

Hello. I have had this Dracaena for 5 years and she never had her leaves turn yellow. The soil at the bottom of the pot is still damp. Help!

My aglaonema is flowering for the first time, and I’m thinking I want to cut it off so it doesn’t suck energy from growing these awesome leaves (plus, the flowers are kinda icky looking anyways lol). Should I chop it now, or wait until the flower stalk gets a little taller?

has anyone ever moved with plants? i’m moving 14-15 hours away in about 20 days, and have no idea how to go about packing up my plants. i have somewhere between 25-30, so it’s not really THAT many. they’ll be one of the last things i pack up obviously, but like… how? i feel like i can’t put them in bags for that long, but i don’t want them to tip over during transit. if you know anything about canada, we’re going from sask (flat) to bc (mountains) so it’ll be a bit of a bumpy ride. anyyyy advice is very very greatly appreciated!!!

A coworker gave this cutting to my husband… I don’t think it’s a jade plant, but that’s what she told him it was. Is she right or is it something else? I can’t figure it out…

Hello all! In the beginning of October my boyfriend’s mom gave me all whole bunch of her baby propagations. They all came potted in miracle grow soil which, I personally hate because of the fertilizer beads 😅 I can already see some plants have old broken beads and others have some that havent broken and i hate not knowing exactly when my plants are fertilized. Now my question, would it be awful to repot all of my new plants in regular soil? she said she potted them herself a few weeks before giving them all to me, so they were officially repotted 2 months ago, i dont want to stress them out but again, I would like to get them on a strict fertizling schedule….thoughts or ideas on what i should do??

It rained last night and this morning it snowed. By this evening all 2 inches of snow melted, do you mark your outside plants as watered?

My plant went from this to this 😥. I don’t know why. I followed the the recommended care instructions from planta but nothing seems to be working. Any thoughts, recommendations, or suggestions??

Plant mail coming tomorrow! 🥹 I already had a Schrijveriana and Crassipetiolata but they expired after a thrips treatment 🥲 so I HAD to order replacements while my favourite shop had them. This is my reward for quitting vaping 🫶🏻 *Shout out to my favourite online shop for having a huge sale going on and free Shipping for Canadians right now. I’ll put a screen shot of the shop below*
