Hello,
I am looking into getting a green house so it can be ready for spring and summer. What greenhouses would you recommend? I don’t like the look of the plastic tent ones I would prefer a stable greenhouse that can stay up all year since I live in Oregon we get some decent rain, show and wind in the winter. Feel free to post pics of your greenhouses as well as any advice regarding greenhouses and growing in greenhouses! I am not opposed to building one instead of buying one so show me your greenhouses and ideas! Thanks so much!

I think my apoballis is flowering!

My first Pachira Aquatica. Not gonna lie, I’d never even heard of this before I saw it and bought it. But I had to have it! Anyone have any good tips for this cutie? Thanks!

Is there a way to find my questions I asked without scrolling through the hole list? Thanks

Pelargoniums! Which one is your favorite? 🌸
In Sweden we have a Geranium that's called Dr. Westerlunds flower (Pelargonium Graveolens) after Dr Ernst Westerlund (1839–1924). He believed that its fresh, citrusy scent could purify the air and speed up recovery for the sick. Pelargonium has been a beloved houseplant in Sweden since the 18th century and has had various folk names over time, including "Farmer’s fart", "Old woman’s fart", "The hasty suitor", "Bedbug tree" and "Smells nice".
If you want to taste it here's a recipe for it as well:
Ingredients
- 200 ml (0.8 cups) granulated sugar
- 10 green leaves of Dr. Westerlund’s flower (rose geranium) + 5 finely chopped leaves for the glaze
- 150 g (5.3 oz) room-temperature butter
- 2 eggs
- 200 ml (0.8 cups) all-purpose flour
Glaze
- 150 ml (0.6 cups) powdered sugar
- About 1 tbsp water
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (347°F). Grease and flour a springform pan, approximately 18 cm (7 inches) in diameter.
2. Blend the sugar and 10 plant leaves together until you get green-colored sugar.
3. Whisk the scented sugar and butter together until light and fluffy using an electric mixer. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each addition. Finally, mix in the flour.
4. Spread the batter evenly in the pan and bake in the middle of the oven for 25–30 minutes. Check with a toothpick—if it comes out clean, the cake is done. Let it cool completely.
5. Mix the powdered sugar and water into a thick glaze, then stir in the finely chopped leaves. Spread the glaze over the cake.
Enjoy!

My spider plant has been growing a baby for a over a month now, and I saw that you can add them into the same pot as the mum to make her bigger/thicker. The baby is about 6 cm tall now and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on doing this as it’s my first time propagating or growing a plant from a baby. :)

Visiting my son and dil. Here’s proof you don’t need to do anything special to get your orchids to bloom. For reference I am sharing the state of their other plants..

I grew 3 avocado pits from King Soopers and 2 never opened. This one just did and has shot up over the past week! Care tips welcome, 3rd time doing it and it's always been tricky to keep them happy, but they never seem to truly die off so that's a plus.

My strawberry begonia's pushing 3 babies out right now! I'm planning to keep them connected to the mother plant for 3ish months, but figured I'd ask if anyone has advice on propagating afterwards. Will the pups grow sufficient roots or Will I need to keep it in a moss box/ water once they're a good size?

My fiddle leaf fig has sprouted a huge new leaf!! I’ve had her about a year and she hasn’t grown very large leaves until now. Do I need to prune any of the older, smaller leaves or just leave it alone? Thanks!

I have a neon heart leaf philodendron here. This one leaf is half dark green, the other half neon green. Looks healthy but just curious what’s going on here? Any answers?

Wondering about any recommendations for my rubber plant. She actually seems happy now, new growth coming in - but she’s sooooo spindly.
Would you recommend I do a top cut or would that damn the rest of it? Wondering if there’s any way to get the stem my part to push out foliage?
Thanks for any input - always learning. 🌱 🙏
P.S. this was watering day so just finished bottom watering, she sits under grow lights 12 hrs a day.

Good afternoon friends! Newbie plant momma here & I’ve just been gifted a potted African Violet & would love any advice to keep her happy and healthy.
Since I’m very new to plant care and this plant is above my knowledge I’ve been following the instructions this app gave me but I’m very open to more advice! (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Good early morning friends! Just had a late night thought and wanted to throw it out there. When is the best time to use a grow light? I’m thinking the answer is pretty obvious, night time I’m assuming lol
What color light? I’m seeing yellows, whites and purples. Does it depend on the type of plant?
Thank you! 🪴 🌵

Went to our local plant swap at the library today to share some of my plants and was planing on only picking up 1 or 2 and boy did I blow it. I got 16 new plants (on the left) and a friend brought me some starts too ( right side). Well I guess I will have to build a bigger house. Lol

Is this a neon pothos or a lemon lime heart leaf philodendron? It was labeled as a neon pothos, but I have had pothos for years, and this one doesn’t seem to require the same kind of care. I also noticed some pink around the new growth. I thought maybe root rot, but it’s in a mix of soil and perlite and I am pretty sure I don’t overwater it. The pink is only around the new growth. It’s been a tricky one for me to figure out how to care for. Thanks!

I was out of town so gave the plant to a friend for a month. And he almost got it killed. 60% of the leaves turned brown so had to pluck them out. All that is left is what you can see in the image. I’m trying to revive it. Just got rid of all the dead leaves so it looks a lot better than when I got it back from friend last night.
Please help me with the best methods how I can possibly revive the plant back!! It seriously needs help to get back to its lush state!
The below pictures clearly show how many dead leaves I removed out of the pot and how it looks now.
