Help! I’m plant sitting and don’t know the first thing about orchids. She’s going to be gone for months. She just said when it’s kinda dry, water it, let it sit, then pour the excess off. That’s what I did but it’s so weird to me. Does this sound right? Does it look okay? Thanks!

I last watered this ZZ on 3/16/25 and keep checking the soil with a moisture meter which says it’s mid-moist towards the bottom of the pot. How is it not bone dry by now?! It doesn’t usually sit so close to the window….usually about 2 ft to the side of the window getting bright indirect light. It’s been 5 weeks……why doesn’t it need water yet?!

Grow light bulb recommendation? Ones that I can put in normal lamps, preferably from Amazon. Mostly for tropical plants, they’ll have no access to actual sunlight for awhile.

Do you guys put your mini monsteras (rhaphidophora tetrasperma) on poles or let them hang, what’s your preference?

This is a cherry tomato plant. Why are there 2 thick Stems instead of 1 ? Is one a sucker and if so which one so I don’t end up pruning the wrong one.

quick question before i go to the store, would it be odd to bring my plant to the garden center to see which pot is best for repotting? im a new plant parent and ive gotten attached to my plant. its time for a repotting and im not sure which size would be best.

Hi! I’ve had my zebra plant for over a year and it was doing really well. Until recently it started dropping leaves. I repotted it hoping this would help and I’m still down to 5 leaves🫠 If anyone has any tips or suggestions that would be great!! Thank you!

Can anyone tell me what’s going on with my coleus? She’s been like this for a little bit, and I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong. She’s has small holes everywhere and little crispy bits, almost like callouses. I checked and I haven’t seen any bugs, but maybe I’m missing them? I pruned her recently to help the new leaves grow in, and even those leaves have started looking like this. I do have some sun catchers nearby, and they both sit in the window, so maybe it’s from that?

Hey guys my Terrarium water smelled like raw egg. It doesn’t have a drainage hole at the bottom and I noticed that a few of the plants inside of it is dying. Not only that the water is overfilling when I start to pour new water in u notice that the old water wasn’t absorbed by the soil? I’m not too sure. Some of the leaves look fine and healthy but I don’t know what to do next I’m scared for its life haha I love this thing. I use to pour water directly into the bottom but now I’m afraid so I just misted it today to increase humidity. Should I mist it daily to insure it has enough humidity? What do I do… to make sure that it strives and stay happy it’s my first terrarium

Does anybody have any idea what is happening to my fiddle leaf fig’s leaves? It looks to me like something has been munching on it, but I have no idea what it is. I can’t find any indication of pests on the backs of the leaves or the stems. This plant gets appropriate care with adequate water, good humidity, proper sunlight, and liquid fertilizer with every watering. (Ignore the edema on the backs of the leaves; I was late in watering, recently.) To me, it almost looks like a mechanical injury, but I’m the only one who handles this plant, and I’m usually pretty careful. So, any ideas? TIA!
