Please can anyone identify this for me? I was given it free at the garden centre….
I bought this beauty at a yard sale need help finding out what kind of plant it is? Common ivy ?
I got this from Lowe’s. Does the leaves mean it’s to watered?
I have a couple of these terracotta self watering planters which have been great so far. However, I am confused on how I should go about using fertilizer? Do I mix a liquid fertilizer in the water I put in the reservoir? (I’ve seen mixed opinions on this) Or should I use a slow-release fertilizer stick in each pot?
So I want to buy a plant on Etsy ! I have never done this before and I’m a bit worried because where I live is very warm … so what do you guys think should I do it ? (I’m finally getting a monstera albo )
Rubber plant leaves puckering. Hey guys, I’m a new plant mom. I was sick for a few weeks and I was VERY impulsive and got too many plants, not enough research, basically every mistake has been made here. So it has been an eventful and extremely educational experience. But there is a lot of conflicting info online about a lot of things so I want to ask the community directly. I got this rubber plant and the leaves have these big indents or puckers or dimples (idk what you would call them) and a couple of the leaves are droopy. From what I’ve learned, these plants hate being moved. So is this just a normal reaction to such a drastic change in environment or does this look like a specific issue? It is still in the grow pot which has 4 drainage holes on the outer bottom of the pot. I want to repot into terracotta but I also didn’t want to do that so soon after it just got here. The soil meter is reading as moist about halfway down the pot, but reads as wet when it gets towards the bottom. Do the roots reach down that far? Or do you think they only reach down around where the meter says moist and the “wet” soil at the bottom is more like a reservoir? No signs of pests that I can see. Soil looks really good from what I’ve read about. Looks like it’s a well draining mix with tons of chunky bits, perlite, bark, etc Humidity is around 75 percent and temp is between 75 and 80. It is about 5 feet away from a south facing window. It has 3 or four red leaf sleeves but they were already there when I got him so it’s not a sign of being happy in my care and I know they don’t guarantee a healthy new leaf. I can give any other info you need or take pictures. I just want to do this the right way. I feel like I owe it to my plants after being so careless and impulsive when I got them. I truly had no idea what I was getting into. It’s been fulfilling though.
My money tree has some new growth at the base of one of the trunks. Will it grow upward with the others eventually? Should I try to manage it as it grows? Never expected new growth from base so just curious!
i’m looking for some dirt help!! i recently used MiracleGro (typically my ol reliable) but this time used the organic version. Most of the plants that I repotted with this soil stopped draining and started developing the ring of death or had yellow leaves. I’m wondering what people use for their tropical plants (I mostly have monsteras and pothos). I’m open to any dirt and mix in suggestions :)
Snake Plant issue 100 of the week lol. What do you do when some snake plant leaves are too dry while at the same time the others are fine? —> please read below for context: When I bought this plant a couple years ago every leaf was wrinkled, curling and thin and very underwatered. Since then I have separated it into 3 plants so in the photo you can see the original leaves (curling and tips turning brown) on the far left of the photo and the leaves that have grown since I have had it on the right side (darker green and fine). All 3 of my plants are having the same issue and I don’t know how to simultaneously balance their watering needs. This week I repotted them all from a soil that was staying too wet to a chunky mix combined with a cactus/succulent soil. So I realize there may be some transplant shock. However, this has been a lifelong issue of this plant and its leaves (watering imbalance).
What is the best time of day to water your ponytail palm?
😱 my petunia hybrid is so big! What should I do
Received this lovely little Hoya Curtisii in the mail this week 😊 only trouble is I have no idea what I should name it. Any suggestions? TIA!
I normally kill your typical flowering plants. Needless to say, babysitting someone’s orchid for the summer didn’t thrill me. So far so good though I think! 🤞😍 Edited: haha, to add the flowering!! I’m doing better with regular plants, just not the flowers 🤣
🍃🍷🎇
I’ve just got this little bonsai umbrella tree given to me as a gift from a friend any suggestions or ideas for caring for it. I’m new to bonsai and I don’t want to kill this plant. I have another umbrella tree but they are different but idk if they have the same care needs. Both of the plants are included in the post what’s the difference between the are they different types this app classifies them as the same.

My little prop station is looking so happy 😊
Bonnie. Almost gave up on her. Been on water prop for a month and a week and now finally, giving me a tiny bud of root. So happy I didn't. It is true, with patience comes great reward 😃.
