Is this a parlor palm? It’s in an 8 inch pot for reference.

When you start to focus on the plants in the background instead of the show you’ve seen multiple times, you know you’re becoming a plant nerd!🤓 🪴

My ginseng ficus’s roots grew out of its pot again! I’ve had to repot it 3 times in the past year becuase of this and I always put 2 inches or more of soil underneath the roots at the bottom of the pot. It’s not even growing out of its pot it’s just growing down and I don’t know why. Other than that the plant is doing amazing I would just like to know if anyone has experienced this and knows how to stop it. I’ve also attached a photo of the soil I use if it is the reason it does this. Btw the photo of the plant is 2 months of root growth.

I’ve made a grave mistake 😭 sewed my coleus seeds too close to each other. I’m not attached to all of them if there’s no point in saving, but would try to make sure the survivors have good lives lol. Seeking advice 🙏

I need some advice for my sprouting set up for my classroom. I have the seeds in coco coir. There are vents at the top of the domes. Should I open those or close them? It’s pretty dry here. Also, how many hours do y’all leave the grow lights on? These have an option for 4, 8, 12, or 18 hours. Last question: Do you water very often if the vents on the domes are closed? I have a couple off the heat mat because we’re doing an experiment on which one works best. Thanks for the help!

Hey! New to the plant world! Trying to make my own chunky soil mix… I have leca and coco coir, literally nowhere says the preparation I’m looking for. Do I soak/ rinse before adding to my soil mix? I don’t use soil often, so will it mold or go bad in a container?

I have my elephant ears currently in a tropical soil mix based off of what the app recommends. However, I feel like it might not be doing it justice. I will be moving them to larger pots and would like to know if anybody recommends a different type of soil. I live in coastal Georgia so take that into consideration.

Hi everyone! I’ve recently just adopted a cat and I’m having a really hard time keeping him away from my plants. I don’t realize how many of my plant babies were toxic (hence the empty plant hanger lol) so I’ve had to reorganize a lot and luckily now that it’s nice out I could move most to the balcony but for extra security I really wanted to find something to keep him off them any recommendations? I’ve seen sprays and other things but I was hoping for actual verified used stuff that works and doesn’t hurt my plant babies or him.

I bought this church from someone who didn't have the love anymore for it and knew it would be perfect for my garden. What do you recommend I do with it? Clean it up? Leave the moss? 🤔 I wondered - is the top of the church too minimal for a plant to grow? ⛪💓 . . Behind it, I also have a gnome with a wheelbarrow that my other half chose. Should I fill the barrow with plants any recommendations welcome. Live: Britain with cold temps ❄️

I am having a serious “Mandela” moment right now. I know for a fact that I have purchased Miracle Gro Potting Soil with Extra Drainage in a blue bag multiple times. Now it’s labeled as “moisture control” and I can’t find anything online about it being renamed, a different product or anything. I feel CRAZY! Am I crazy?

Match up Monday! When it is time to check the soil before watering, are you team moisture meter or team finger test?!
