Hi plant community, I’m very new to having plants and I need a couple pointers on how to keep my monstera plant alive. It is slumping over and some of the leaves love very glossy and some are dull. Most have the traditional holes while some are not growing holes at all (I’ve also got the plant at Lowe’s 2 months ago). I really want to keep this plant alive does anyone have any pointers or suggestions?

Hello plant experts! I acquired this monstera today from a really nice lady in my neighborhood, and I am quite intimidated with how to take care of her. She’s quite large, she’s in a 10in nursery pot currently, and I placed her inside a 12” planter. Is she big enough that I need to repot her straight into the planter? The back of the plant is at the edge of the nursery pot… and I’m unsure how I would add stakes for support. Any advice welcome!

I let my spider plant go too long without proper care! It got very root bound and hydrophobic. I was also experimenting with leaving the babies on as long as possible to see what would happen. I did cut off some of them and made a friend a plant, but for the most part I left them all attached. I’m still not sure if leaving the babies attached is bad or not. I think the roots and repellent soil was more of an issue. I’ve popped it out of the pot and trimmed off the bottom third of the root ball and refreshed the soil with some good microbes stuff. It lost a lot more leaves after that but there’s some new sprouts coming back so it will one day look as good as the second photo again! Also there were sooo many babies that I’ve propagated I’m not worried at all for this guy.

Hi all! New Monstera leaf has a few black spots along the edge. None of the other leaves do. No signs of thrips or pests. The soil is Premium Monstera Mix from Rooting For You (usually exceptional quality), but it seems to retain moisture much longer than the Planta app expects - I'm only watering every two weeks as it takes that long to feel any dryness in the top inch or two. A couple weeks ago a couple small mushrooms sprouted up (a sign of over watering?). I figure it's a watering issue....any advice is much appreciated!

When I bought this about a year ago it had huge leaves. They all fell off. The new ones have grown but have stayed small. What should I do?

Went on a week long vacation and came back to all the leaves on my begonia fallen off 💔 I left a water globe and was hoping that’d be enough but sadly it wasn’t. Is there any chance of bringing it back to life? Added an image of its before. Would appreciate tips please!! New plant owner too ):

I finally put her on a moss pole 🫠 I’m terrified I’ll lose this propagation but I’m trying. Also I know the location of the spine dont you worry! And I’m pretty sure the leaves will turn towards the sun themselves after repotting. But here we are for now.

Is this a flower? I've never had a plant which has produced a flower before, and I've read for this kind of plant it's better to cut it off as soon as you notice one - I'm not sure though, and if this is just a big leaf I'd like to let it continue growing. If it IS a flower, is it better to cut it off? Is it too soon to do so? She's in a new place in a new house, so I worry about any big changes or un-needed cuts Any advice appreciated, thank you!

Hello everyone, I hope all is well. A few months ago I was gifted an olive bonsai. It spent the summer being really healthy and growing a ton. At the end of the summer and past few weeks, it has dried up, the green of the leaves has darkened, and the leaves are curled up. I am not sure whether I am over watering or doing something else wrong, are there any tips to help diagnose the issue and save my plant? For additional context it faces west and is placed right beside a window.

My Dracaena has become super leggy but there is so much fresh growth at the top. Can I cut off the bottom bare trunks and re plant the top portions?
