I don’t even know why I was so distraught when my Chinese Evergreen Emerald Bay went dramatic and all its leaves gradually turned crunchy and fell off.
In true drama fashion though, it said Don’t Count Me Out Yet and suddenly sprouted these two new leaves and keeps right on a growing!
I don’t even know why but I was so distressed about possibly loosing this plant but I’m sooo glad that I didn’t! ❤️❤️❤️

Please help with my Pinky! She’s leggy, with only small, wrinkly leaves coming through. I water her when she feels light, have never had problems with white fungus on the soil. She’s under a grow light that’s from We the Wild (Aus company) and I can’t find the specs for it.

It’s back to life! I’m beyond stoked about this new leaf and new shoot. This plant was almost dead when I was given it.
I’m still working on growing her roots strong and big before planting her in soil.
Is this a Thai Con or an Albo?

Question on fertilizing:
I have Superthrive’s 9-3-6 liquid fertilizer that I use every 4-6 weeks for most plants. I’ve been following the recommended 1/4 teaspoon/gallon dosage for most plants, but then I asked chat and it said I should use about 25 drops per 4 cups??
For the record I haven’t been seeing crazy new growth at all. What do you recommend?

this plant is growing lighter leaves and getting a dark spot on the top leaf. Does it look healthy? It is growing new leaves so that’s a good sign. Do i cut anything off on the leaf that has brown spots?

Okay so I picked up this beauty from Lowe’s today. The tag said white monster but I’m like… I don’t think so? I’m leaning more Thai con or albo? Help!

Hey, I was wondering if sphagnum moss is a good medium for a monstera Bulbasaur acclimation medium? I might mix it with perlite. Idk. The plant is arriving on Monday. So I’m trying to set up now.

My boyfriend’s jade is entirely purple except the leaf it was propagated from and a tiny bit of the newest growth. We are unsure if it is sun stress, underwatered, or if this is normal growth. Any ideas or tips are appreciated thanks!

I’ve had this little propegation of my philodendron heart shaped Brasil for about two and half weeks and these are the root growth so far. This is my first time propagating and I wanna do it right since I love this plant so much. At least two new leaves have sprouted on each cutting alone, maybe more. Do these look okay so far?

Just made a big order off Palmstreet! Anthurium Regale, Anthurium Luxurians, Philodendron Sodiroi, and Anthurium Urbani!
Super excited about them a few of them are huge! Can’t wait to unbox them. Got them from SucculentsEmpireLLC for great prices! Can’t recommend them more.

beneficial nematodes update: it's been about 2 weeks since adding the nematodes & the plant babies LOVED them.✨ in just a few days the gnats literally disappeared. i put a top dressing of LECA on some of them & the gnats have stayed away from even the ones that like to stay moist. i also put fresh yellow sticky traps in some of the pots to keep track of new gnats & there are barely any on them! would recommend! 🌿🙅🏽♀️🦟

Scale or Aeriel roots?
I’ve just noticied that my monstera monkey mask has quite a few black dotes on it that emerge from the stems, mostly around the nodes.
I sent a picture of chatgpt who first thought it was scale but also potentially thinks it’s could be Aeriel Roots.
They are very hard to touch, and some have grown are pointed, which is leading me to think it’s aerial roots, but would love opinions!

I brought this gifted dying baby back to life and I’m so relieved that over 2 days there is a whole new life coming back.
I was gifted 100 plants in one evening from a man moving out of his home and somewhere he couldn’t take his plants that he had in storage. These plants were almost dead.
First pic is the day it was dropped off over a month ago and after drying out the root system and being patient I have a large new leaf growing. And I’m not listening to Planta. I’m feeling soil now. My mother was a florist and that made me hate flowers but it made me love indoor plants.
I’m so happy this baby is back to life. I have too many plants, but this one will be a keeper.
Also: should I remove anything? Still learning. But don’t know much.

Hello Planta family ☺️ I tend to travel a lot throughout the year and have hit a dilemma of how to keep my plants alive and happy (especially the ones who require daily watering, i.e my cucumber plant) when requiring to be gone for 2-3 weeks at a time!
The majority of my plants are already in a small sized rectangular windowsill planter that has a self watering feature (where there is a basin filled with water and felt strings bring water up to the plants) but some plants even gobble up that reservoir water and require watering every 2-3 days.
Would anyone who travels often have any tips or tricks in regard to saving my plant babies from wilting/dying while I’m gone?
Any advice would be much appreciated 💕
