So sad! Checking on my plants today and this leaf was sitting on the piano - he fell off!
Guys tomorrow is my birthday 🎉
Why is Planta schedule telling me to repot all my plants? Is there something wrong with the app?
Hi! My polka dot plant has been growing straight up, I just replanted her to a wider pot because she was getting root bound. How can I make her spread out/ more bushy? Thanks!
i’ve had my peperomia frost for a while and unfortunately, the newer leaves are all crimped. i water it once a week and the temperature in my room usually stays around 65-70. anything i can do to help my plant grow bigger, healthier leaves that aren’t crimped or cracked?
Happy Sunday!! Check out Planta Market and stock up on all the spring essentials 😍💚 🇺🇸 Exclusive for our US users
Asking on behalf of a friend here, since I’m not exactly sure if Planta has a true “bansai care function.” And I’ve personally never had luck with bansais. Her’s are looking a bit sad, just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get them a bit healthier. The plant itself is Jade, pruned and prepared by a coworker who is a bansai enthusiast (so I’m sure the prep work was done properly). Any insight would be greatly appreciated. 😁
Help Planta People! What do I have going on here? I’m pretty sure I need to prune the affected leaves, but I don’t know what it is or if the plant is salvageable, any help/info would be greatly appreciated!
So I’ve got a Nematanthus ‘Shady Lady Mae’ that I’ve had for a few months now. She’s a combination of two shady ladies, one sent through the mail from a nursery, and the other from a local plant shop. I have one branch (from what I believe is the second half of the plant) that’s had orange flower buds since I bought her in November, but the rest of the branches and blooms excluding this sole branch resembles a classic Shady Lady Mae. I’m wondering if anyone can tell me if this one branch is doing something uniquely beautiful, or if it’s perhaps a different cultivar of Nematanthus. TIA! (The first two photos are my orange branch, and the last two photos are what the rest of the plant looks like)
What are your favorite plants in your collection? Ill go first with a top 5 not in any particular order. Crown of thorns, madagascar jasmine, string of hearts, raven ZZ, and euphorbia aeruginosa.
Maybe a bloom on my elephant ear?? And roots on the jade! She wants to grow!!
I'm incredibly proud of my plants. Show your growth?
My 8 months old Guatemala Ping is definetly thriving beautifully 🥰. She even caught her own mosquito food 😄. I didn't expect her to thrive under my care, I am very impressed.
I don’t understand why my pine seedlings aren’t getting any bigger. I planted them as seeds January ‘25, they sprouted about this time last year, and now are kinda stuck in this 2-3in height. This was labeled as a very slow-growing species, but I’ve tried different lights/locations to no avail. Any advice? I’ve contemplated putting them in big baskets outdoors this summer so they have tons of resources to bulk up, but also I could be super wrong and kill them. I’m scared 😟
Has anyone bought any plants, well anything from Planta Market? How was your experience?
I am determined to find a less stress moss pole - basically an easier way to keep the moss moist. I know there are alternatives to the pole for the plants to climb, but I like the mossy, organic look. I would like to know if anyone has found a good self-watering set-up? I've seen a top drip water cup. Or recently a diy pole with a pvc pipe in the middle of the moss, holding water with a wick wound around it to keep the moss wet? Any other thoughts/ideas?
I have an English Ivy on each side of the entrance of our church. The one on the left side of the door looks healthy and looks like it survived the winter, but the one on the right looks bad. Does anyone know if there’s something I can do to save it? Or will it just grow back?
I have a plant that is dormant. It is placed in a dark closet at the moment. It is bulbs in dirt pretty much. I’m wondering when do I get it back out for sun and begin to water?
I think I have a problem. Tomorrow my task are to water 6 plants and fertilize 50! In two days I am supposed to water a few plants and repot 50! What the heck is going on. I don’t want to look any further into my task list. Fertilizing counts as watering. There is no way I need to water 56 plants tomorrow.
Hello, I have a weird question, we have a 55 gallon fish tank that has hydroponic plants so we put fertilizer in it to help with them I have other plants I use the fish tank water to water them, do I have to fertilize the other plants , if the water I am using already has some in it ?
