Advice! Elephant ear is gaining more roots, but also losing some due to rot. (I’ve pulled/cut off as much rot as I could access;plant seems to be doing fine regardless) A). I won’t be able to get a bigger pot until Thursday. In the meantime should I just leave the roots or cut them down? B). How do I prevent root rot? (In Leca) C). This is the second time I’ve noticed them. Anytime I take my pot out of the reservoir there are 100s of tiny white things moving . Springtails? Can they become harmful? Every time I see them I change water and wash the pot. How do I stop them? They make my skin crawl lol
My pothos isn't doing so good lately... Any advice?
My new beautiful Alocasia - had to buy since I have more success w/ well established Alocasia…plus she kind of reminds me of an alien 👽
Anyone know what's wrong with my Pilea Mollis? Noticed a lot of black/brown tips on her leaves :( Background info: has mealybugs (being treated currently with neem + dish soap), never been repotted (4 weeks since purchase), misted regularly, watered around every 14 days
Just got this money plant and not sure if the wire tire should come off?
My Thanksgiving cactus blooming at Christmas as usual. 🤨🤪😁
Free plant space. What humidity loving plants should I put in here? I was thinking in general anthuriums, alocasias, variegated plants, “rare”/fragile plants etc but I would like some more specific recommendations. Im totally open to suggestions outside what I was originally thinking btw.
I was recently put in charge of taking care of my 92-year-old great-aunt’s guzmania for her. I’m new to bromeliads and read that they slowly start to die on their own after a while, and could really use some help with what to expect and how to care for a plant like this. It is already flowering and was recently gifted to her. TIA for any responses. (I’d also like to wish everyone happy holidays, especially to those whose holidays are yet to come 😊)
HELP! Noticed these on my Queen Marble Pothos! What are they? Harmful? How do I get rid of them 😵💫😬😂
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️ to my BEAUTIFUL NEW plant 🪴 family here! Thank you for your kind words of support and being such a safe space for a very bruised and battered soul. May the divine Goddess richly bless each and every one of you thru out the year! 💯🥰🫶 Now... Christmas, here's my husband with... Can y'all BELIEVE IT? He must think I actually know what I'm doing!!🤣🤣 I've heard stories about how fussy Fiddle Leaf's are, but... WOW! GORGEOUS! Right? I'm terrified!🤣 I'm not going to move this beauty an inch after today! No drafts!! I won't even sneeze around him! 🫡
Merry Christmas everyone! Here’s some plant memes :))
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy almost Kwanzaa to any who celebrate! My sister got me this plant and is it labeled Tillandsia Cyanea and the plant mom at the shop advised it is an air plant (but it is in soil?) and that I should keep it moist but not wet and in part sun part shade. But when I search that name and the pic on Planta, it comes up as Wallisia Cyanae Pink Quill, a bromeliad. Can someone help me identify and care for this beauty?
No Misting? Since Planta updated, I no longer see misting tasks. Am I not supposed to mist in winter months?I have due to the heat but just curious.
My husband knows me well!! 🤣🤣
A holiday miracle! My poor little pothos prop, which was the only one that made it, off of the mother plant that died of root rot, has finally sprouted a new leaf after being quiet for a while. I was beginning to worry and then went to check on the little guy and was so happy to see a new little sprout!! 🥹😁 *plant squeals* 👏🏼
Hi all! My grandma gave me this Bromeliad for Christmas! I’m so excited to have it, but I have no idea how to care for one. Google is giving me contradictory advice lol… Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I've had this African violet for about a week and I don't know how to tell whether or not I'm giving it too much sunlight. Any tips to take care of this plant is appreciated 🫶
