i took over taking care of this christmas cactus from my mom, and i wasn't sure if i was doing it right, but then it started blooming. i was pretty sure they only bloomed around november-january so im surprised. has anyone else had this happen? is it good or is it bad somehow?
I’m thinking that the super long shoot is a light issue. This snake plant and my two zz’s have the same thing happening. Before I move them or add a grow light, I thought I’d see what feedback I could get from this group. Other than the super long growth, they are in great health.
Found some yellowing on my guzmania plant, any advice for what to do?
Look at what I finally got, an Albo!!! I’m so thrilled to see how it will grow for me! Any tips?
Can anyone tell me what this plant is? It would be such a big help!
any tips for staghorn ferns?
Can anyone identify this specific air plant? I can’t seem to find a specific variety on Planta that is similar to this one. I feel like the striations are unique, but Planta keeps telling me is False Onion lol which I’m pretty sure it’s not.
went to my favorite nursery today and grabbed these guys: an alocasia ‘blizzard’ (not in the app unfortunately) that i named Blitz and a peruvian old man cactus that i named Dick because.. well.. look at him🍆 he’s going next to my boobie cactus (Busty Betty)
Is this plant root-bound? Picked up a gorgeous tradescantia from Lowe’s and it looked like this when I took it out of the nursery pot. I repotted her in a slightly larger pot, but is there anything else to do?
Plant newbie here!! Does anyone have any plant food suggestions that works for most plants? Thanks!
This beauty has grown so much over the past few months, despite the winter! Repotted her yesterday and added a moss pole for support — can’t wait to watch her flourish this spring and summer 💚 Photos from what she looked like in September vs now.
Hey folks! New plant owner trying to figure out what "Bright Indirect" light means 😆 this is my philodendrine Brasil, I believe they like bright indirect light, but I worry she doesn't get enough sun. Any thoughts about where she I placed in terms of sun?
Does anyone own a Syngonium T25? It’s a small narrow leaf arrowhead with a threadlike red edge on its leaves. It’s been on my wishlist a couple of years and I had stopped looking because most of the advertised plants are sold out, located over seas, or are a Syngonium Starlight variety which has no red edge. I love the markings and leaf shape on a T25. It looks like water coloring in the green areas.
Anyone know what this plant is?
What is the best potting soil mix I can buy for my house plants? I’m new to houseplants and I have 2 plants that isn’t doing good cause I think I put the wrong potting soil in the pots. So I use garden magic potting soil I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. Please any recommendations are appreciated. Thank you all.
Any opinions on these plant shelves if they work? Hard to believe they would stay in place with just suction cups…
Hi everyone! I want to get into plants but I’m worried about the toxicity of them because I have two littles running around. Can anybody suggest what plants I can bring into my home that won’t poison my kiddos if they get too curious? TIA!!
I’m trying to get my pearl and jade pothos to climb, what’s the best type of moss pole?
I bought a new spider plant and feel like a lot of leaves on the bottom have been dying and noticed a spider plant baby’s stem turning brown. Can I cut/trim the leaves to give more space for healthier leaves and babies?
OK, all ye stake people, what does this stake say to you? Am I saying DRY, or am I still not quite there? TIA!
