Anyone have trouble with their spider plant becoming topheavy? This guy will flop over unless I position him just right against the wall. Wondering if it is getting leggy due to too little sunlight? Otherwise he is thriving and putting out lots of new big and healthy leaves.

Hi, I purchased this nice Jade a couple weeks ago. It’s tarting to get crusty on a couple leaf tips. My question is about the soil. It seems extremely compacted, to the point that when I touch the surface it feels like one compacted mat. I think I want new soil, maybe a succulent mix? It’s already in Terra Cotta. I’m thinking the same pot is ok for the time being. Opinions?

Hello Everyone, I recently bought this ficus ginseng plant, i got it in a deal. It had shed a lot of leaves, I suspect, it must be due to lack of sunlight in the store. I gave him a plenty of light in 2 days but it’s still shedding its healthy leaves. Since it’s my first ficus plant, can you please direct the best practice to keep it healthy and dense? Thank you in advance 😊

Lemon tree help: Two year old tree that’s in a pot since the native soil here is not great. The tree had a lot of flowering and growth in the spring, but most of the lemons fell off (I’m guessing the tree is still too young to support all the weight). Not much growth this summer, it’s really warm here.. in the 90s. It has started to cool down a bit, so I’m seeing new branching, leaves, and a few buds. I’m concerning the new leaves are coming in waxy and curling.. any ideas what’s causing it?

I’ve really struggled with this calathea but she’s absolutely thriving now, we have new leaf growth and what I believe to be a flower bud 👀

Does anybody else’s Planta app glitch out when you go through to complete all of the tasks? I always find myself exing out of the app and needing to restart it again. The app is just very laggy for me. Just me?

Do ZZ plants tend to grow out more than straight up as they get large?

Hello! I’m hoping to propagate one of the babies from my spider plant soon, but I’ve never done it before. I’m planning to snip the plantlet off of the stem and plant directly in soil… any tips or thoughts? Thanks!!

What’s going on with my Calathea Dottie? It continues to produce new leaves but all the leaves just die off. They turn brown around the edge and then continue to get worse until they die.

Today I was out gathering seeds from my morning glories (because we’re going to dig up that area and replant that area next spring). While I was walking around, looking at my plants, I remembered that I have a clematis plant that I have never bothered (in 9yrs) in my front yard. I went out to check it out thinking maybe I could create another one and was looking at what used to be the flowers. So I popped one off and was wondering are the ones on the right seeds as well as the ones on the left (in my hand) or just the ones on the left?

Y’all, is my catcus okay? She’s slowly started getting these dots and spots all over her. I don’t wanna give up on her but I’m getting nervous!

I’ve read that to encourage a bushier Pink Princess Philodendron you should pinch off the new leaf growth. Does anyone know where you’re supposed to do that or have any tips for this guy?

Plants can climb many things beyond a moss pole. My potted plants have spent this summer climbing wood, several window screens and a plastic pot. The blue pot is smooth with pyramid shaped projections. I’m surprised the syngonium vine has such a strong hold onto its irregular shape. The tips on the aerial roots of the Hoya Pubicalyx are white, not sun stressed, when they push through the window screen.

Good morning! I have bought a small snake plant as I have read how they are great for indoors and can handle low-lighting conditions. Now that I am entering it into planta it says it needs part sun… internet is providing mixed information too! I have it placed on a shelf in my livingroom that has north-facing windows and does not get any direct sunlight. Anyone familiar with these lovelies think it’s ok or should I get a grow light?

I am a beginner plant parent, but in love with all my little green friends. I live in So. Cal. And in the 14 years I have lived in this house I have never used our fireplace. I have been thinking about putting in some grow lights and plants. It might make that dark hole look more interesting. Not sure what types of plants to use. Any suggestions?

Is this salvageable? Took it from a friend and I’ve already removed all the dead leaves and roots. How can I help it grow again? Also, is this a snake plant?

Hi guys! I recently moved to a different bedroom and am now working with north facing and west facing windows, I already have a few plants growing near the north facing one. Any recommendations for good shade plants? I'm okay with the plant not growing crazy, just something that is content with part shade/full shade :)
