How can I save my air plant?? I think I’ve been watering it to little and for not long enough.
Is 60°F too cold for avocado trees at night? Is 50°F fine? In the days it is about 70°F-80°F.
I think these might be aphids in my planter with these tiny pansies, but they’re so small I couldn’t be sure. I did see leaves that glistened, but couldn’t catch it with my camera. Later, when I enlarged my photos, it looked like these could be aphids. Are they APHIDS, for sure, and what is the best way to get rid of them? TIA!
I’m thinking about pruning my ficus, specifically the bare branch. Where should I cut it in an attempt to encourage new branches to grow?
Hi!! Does anyone know type of philodendron this is? I recently bought it at a big box store, and the tag says “philodendron”.
My mystery Charlie Brown Christmas tree succulent it’s flowering lol 😂. I don’t know if this is a death bloom or it’s actually happy. 🫠😂
I just got the Planta app this week and just love it. Thought I’d say, “Hi,” and share what popped up in my yard this morning. 😊 I’m in the Phoenix, AZ area. Besides planting the iris bulbs many years ago, I can take no credit for this beauty. They’re on the drip system and completely neglected. 😂 Think I might just leave them alone.
Hi! I am battling fungus gnats. I got some mosquito bits to use to hopefully get rid of them. All of my plants are in the same area so at this point I assume all of them have gnat larvae in the soil. Should I water them all to treat everything at the same time, even if they don’t need watering? Or just water what is due each time?
A few years ago I adopted this pothos from a friend. She hasn’t been doing too amazing lately, however, she is working on it. Been making sure that she is watered, but not too watered. I’ve confirmed that there is no root rot. When I do water I’ve been watering from the bottom and adding SUPERthrive at the recommendation of the indoor plant person at my local nursery. My primary question is should I trim the two spots in the picture (propagate the growth at the bottom of the long stem) or should I leave as is (like can I expect more growth there?) I’d sure like to give her every opportunity to grow bushy and strong since that’s how she was when I adopted her. Second picture just to show where she is at as a whole. Thanks for the help!
I got my Billie a month ago and now a leaf is yellow…. What do I do 😭
This is my spider plant TJ there is this one leaf that kind just… gave up help please FOR TJ😭😭
Does this airplant have pups or are those near the root just a part of the main plant?
I love finding geart things at yard sales. Planted this last night after a fun day buying goodies
I’m growing a pot of Tomatoes. But I ran into a problem, I planted too many seeds into one pot and they all grew, obviously… What do i do so it doesn’t become overcrowded. Do I wait and then transplant the excess plants. Or do I get rid of excess?
Got these guys and the pot for 12$ yesterday(: also it looks like the largest one is the cylindrical kind of snake plant and the rest are normal??
This is my (what I assume to be) heartleaf philodendron, I've had him for about a year maybe two. Recently I've noticed he's grown a yellow leaf and has a few brown roots. I looked online and all the answers I got were overwatering, but, he's been growing in water since I've got him and he's been great till now. Any advice anyone could offer on what to do would be greatly appreciated.
Will my plant get enough light? I just got a Dracaena Janet Craig Compacta. Is it going to be in my living room. It's about 7ish feet away from the sliding glass door. The sliding glass door faces North East, and in the morning, for about 2 hours, it has direct sunlight, and then it has indirect. Will this work for this plant?
I’m super new to planting and would love advice! I have a potato planted that say in my pantry, 4 sunflowers and two succulents any advice is appreciated thank you!
Can I save this weird peperomia? The new leaves are all curled and weird, and i just wish it was fuller and busy as opposed to tall. It’s got a Sansei grow light above it so it’s not a light issue. I let the soil get dry up to my second knuckle before I water. And I have a CalMag supplement coming in the mail this weekend. Is there anything to make this look less… bad? Or is that all correct and I just need for be patient for the CalMag to do its work?
My plant collection is flourishing! I’m delighted with the plants and plant cuttings that arrived in the mail. They’re recovering well from the shock they experienced while shipping. I’m eager to learn about the essential tips for starting a collection with starters. Could you share your personal tips for caring for different plant types?
