I got this Monstera in April of 2025 starting the new year of 2026 by framing one of the windows in my kitchen! She stands higher than the ceiling and I have such an attachment to her 🥹. She may not look perfect but she’s healthy, thriving, and pushing new leaves weekly!

Picked up this beautiful Philodendron today. It’s just labelled as a Philo and Planta is struggling to ID it. Any ideas?
Second post for me on this white bird of paradise, but I’m determined to save him. Water was running right through the soil in November, so fearing it was hydrophobic I submerged him for a bit. Now the water doesn’t run through but it appears to be failing. I water every 17 days during winter. Fertilize every 3 waterings. It’s in a 10” pot with drainage onto clay pebbles. Should I try repotting…has never been done. Should I separate the plants? Thanks in advance!
Hi guys! Posting this for my friend not on planta. This is her peace lily that she was gifted after a family members passing. It was looking pretty wilted and sad when I went over to her house the other day and I thought it looked pretty crowded so I told her she might try repotting it and separating the plants. She did that so are there any other suggestions you all have for what could be going on? There’s still lots of green on the main plant so I think she’s savable. She hasn’t repotted the plant since she got it and said she waits until she starts looking sad to water it.

Hi everyone! I received a huge fern from one of my co workers. Sadly, it has been losing a lot of leaves since I brought it home. Am I underwatering? Is it getting enough sunlight? I’ve also noticed it growing new leaves so I’m kind of confused lol. Please help!
Well I did it again. I took a bunch of starts to a plant swap to give away and I said I'm not coming home with more then 1 or 2. Lol hahaha that didn't work. Now I have to get another plant shelf and lights. But aren't they beautiful. I have them in my dining room to keep them away from mine for right now but they all look so good and healthy. This was the best plant swap I have been to by far.
I’m looking for some kind of statement plant that will grow large like the one circled in the photo. I want something that will grow outwards, rather than upwards, and take up space (no snake plants, etc). I want to place it on top of a credenza I have (see other photo). However, it’s a lower light spot. Any suggestions? Thank you!
This Monstera plant is growing so fast! Do I need to prune these branches? Thank you for your help.
I would love to hear some of your crazy plant names! I have seen some that are downright hilarious!! Ready for some laughs?! Share below!! Heart your favorites! 💚
Does anyone know why the leaves are now growing green and not purple?
I don’t have any propagates for the first time in months and I’m telling you guys! Counter space is better than you remember
I’m in zone 6, getting ready to get a bunch of snow. So now is as good a time as any to ask a question that’s been bugging me. Does anyone have a hobby greenhouse? Do you use this app to remind you of watering out there? How do you classify it? I have mine listed as being outdoors (because of light) but never I never get any prompts to water. How do you all handle this?
So this was supposed to be a jelly fish and idk how I feel about it 😂 I’m ready for the constructive feedback 😅
Let’s talk about grow lights! In my home we do not have a lot of natural light available through windows so I bought these cheap grow lights off amazon. They’re set around 12-18 inches above the plants (depending on the plants) and they’re on a 12 hour timer. Am I actually giving my plants what they need? Do I need more of these lights? What brands do you recommend? I grow outdoors in the spring and summer but don’t want my plants dying over the cold months
Its project day 🤩🤩
I found an orange birds of paradise for 7 dollars at my local nursery. I also got a mini monstera for 7 dollars.
At what point would you repot this fiddly fig? It’s doing great in this self-watering pot, but I noticed its roots coming through the bottom when I last added water. I’m nervous to touch it - I don’t want it to go all fiddly on me. If i did repot, I’d do another self-watering pot - its worked really well. Thoughts??
Hello all. I live in Atlanta, GA and I would like to get a Master Gardener certification - do you know places that offer the course and the certification? I’m also interested in a comprehensive gardening course - not the 2h classes some places offer. I know the Botanical Garden offers some courses there, but they all sell out within minutes. I have been trying for years and can’t get it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
How is everyone keeping their plants warm? My apartment will not stay warm (it’s currently 64 degrees 🥺) and some of my plants are already drooping.. I’m afraid I’m going to lose all of my hard work!
