Does anyone know what plant this is? I just got it from my grandma, she says she’s been trying to get rid of it for years and never knew someone who would take it. I’d like to get it back up and running but need to know what it is first. The iPhone identifier is not working. Thanks in advance!

I’ve never found pests on my plants but today I saw this. Can anyone recognize what this is? How should I get rid of it?! 😳 😱 I suspect spider eggs… 😟

i got this plant like 2 weeks ago, the soil was dry so i watered it like a week ago (soil is still soaking wet) and it’s starting to shrivel up at the base, could it be that i should’ve waited to water it? or is it not getting enough sun? it doesn’t have the best spot in my room for light so i moved it closer for now, if anyone could let me know it would be extremely appreciated!!!!

My Philodendron Prince of Orange is doing great, however, the base of it is very wobbly and I'm nervous it will eventually snap as it gets bigger. Am I able to cut a few of the bottom leaves off and plant it deeper to cover the nodes/areial roots?

Hi everyone! I have this plant that is relatively happy but it’s only going straight up and its getting harder to maintain. Is this generally what is to be expected or is there something I could change to help it be fuller rather than just tall.

Yesterday I spun through Lowe’s to see if there was any plants I could rescue on clearance. I purchased something I swore I’d never buy. Alocasia tiny dancer. She is currently quarantined in my bathroom where my props are. She is in the tub. The props are on the windowsill. I see no evidence of pests. She has been sprayed with insecticide. What do I do next? I know these plants are spider mite magnets and I’ll literally have an aneurysm if I find any. Should I repot her? Or just let her live her best life? Should I love her to the other bathroom away from the props?

Hi plant friends! I have a question about my spider plant. I repotted her June 28, and she’s already growing massive roots from the bottom of her pot. Should I repot her again? Her leaves have been turning brown. I may be under watering her, because every time I do water her (bottom water with filtered water) she soaks up the water like crazy. I’ve been trying to follow the Planta schedule. But she’s also grown some new shoots, that aren’t leaves, but I’m not sure if it’s potential babies? Any advice on how to continue caring for her would be appreciated! I’d love to have some babies, so I don’t want to do anything that’ll make Charlotte unhappy. TIA! *the blinds are closed just so I can take a picture and you can see the plant as a whole. The blinds are otherwise always open, window faces east. She seems to be happy in that spot from her history of being there compared to other spots in my house

What plants should i get as a beginner?

Happy Moose! I’ve had this little guy for about 9 months and he is growing so much. New shoots and clusters of leaves all over the place! It makes me smile.

I’m still learning here, so please be gentle but also feel free to correct anything I say. I picked up this plant on a whim because they were on clearance. They’re labelled as a ‘colorful aglaonema’, which I haven’t taken care of yet! Others of this kind were slightly more pink-toned in the store, so I’m thinking they might be a ‘Sparkling Sarah’. Please correct me if I’m wrong! What should I do to help give this plant the best chance at a glow-up? General care guidelines? Also, I got a new shelf for my birthday so I was thinking of putting this plant under a grow light, since it’s my only variegated plant so far and I’m fairly sure those usually need more light. Would that be recommendable? Thanks in advance!

Hello I’m new to this group. I would like to know what is the best type of pot should the plants be placed in. Is it safe to use the pots with the water reserve on the side. Especially with the peace lily.
