Super excited to find roots developing and multiple nodes activating after deciding to top and prop my Ficus altissima! I wonder how many branches I’ll get?

Hi Plant fam, me again. I've had a Croton Petra for about 1.5 years. It was outgrowing the pot it was in which was a self watering planter. I was having a hard time finding a larger self watering planter so I thought I could still maintain the moisture level it was used to; boy was I wrong. Since removing it, it started giving me attitude and went from full of all different colored leaves and flowering every few months to now dropping its leaves. =( Long story short (too late), what is a good, fun houseplant that will do well with getting some direct sunlight? Depending on time of year it can vary to just a couple of hours of direct sun and as much as about 6 or 8. I already have a Tineke Rubber Tree. Looking for something different, fun, maybe colorful. Open to whatever. This is what it used to look like =(

I started my plant journey again in March and an happily collecting. I live in a small 1100 sq. ft. apartment. Twenty foot ceilings in the living room and kitchen. Floor space is premium space. I saw an idea on Facebook using a tension for the shower. I have one, and 2 more with a grow light coming tomorrow. I thought someone might like this idea. Here is a new picture. It is coming together!

I purchased theae air plants with beautiful, pink/ purple flowers on them but after 3 weeks of spritzing daily and having in part sun they have faded significantly. I thought it would be cute and smart to put them between the blind slats on the window but maybe that is too much sun?

Hi Plant Fam. I've had my domino peace lily for about a year now. It has been absolutely thriving, throwing out nicely variegated leaves on the regular and just gave me its first flower which was super cool to see that was variagted as well. All of a sudden, the three newest leaves have been completely green. What would make it go from great variagation to all green? It has been in the same spot since I've had it. Thoughts?

Hello, I'm very new to this app and to plant care really. How do you know when it's the right time to re pot a plant please? Will the app tell me? I just watered this according to planta but feel it's too big for the nursery pot now? Thanks so much ☺️

I have this occurring on all the leaves once they mature and open up. I’ve tried repotting, changing soil, improving drainage But eventually the leaves start to get holes, shrivel up on the tips, and start turning brown/yellow on the edges I’ve tried to auto diagnose but it’s not useful Does anyone have any tips? There’s no pest issue and when I repotted it the roots looked very healthy I had to cut the bottom leaves bc they were soooo bad so it looks a little empty now. Hopefully that wasn’t the wrong move Please help, a desperate plant mom

I have a money plant and I’ve had it for years. I have propagated the pups and reef planted pieces that might have broken off. Overall, the years I have had it it’s doing great. But my question is why do the saucers curl? They don’t lay concave with a little flatness to them. Thank you so much. I can’t complain about it. It’s doing fine.

Hi Calthea friends - just wondering if anybody has general advice for me on growing Caltheas! The photo on the left is about 3 weeks ago following a repot, and the photo on the right is today. As you can see there is some slight browning around the edges of leaves, and a couple brown puckers. I’m wanting to mitigate this as best as possible. Any advice? My plant sits inside a couple metres away from a South facing window, in a chunky well draining orchard-bark, horticulture charcoal and perlite mix and I water her once the first couple inches of her soil feel dry. She seems mostly content aside from the browning. Is this position potentially too dark?

This is my pincushion peperomia. I purchased it in June and it flourished until the beginning of August (photo on left). Then it began to drop its leaves/pods every day. I followed the watering schedule on Planta and relocated under a grow light for 12 hours per day. The photo on the right shows what it looks like today, dropping leaves by just looking at it! Like Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree, lol. I don’t think it’s going to make it unless anyone has any advice for me on how to revive it or propagate it. Thanks.

Hey so I’m having a bit of trouble with my ivy plant. So my dad was over at my house cooking and he noticed that it had gnats all over it that’s the first problem. But my dad put it outside to get the bugs off but later forgot about it. An hour later I saw it outside but by that time some of the leaves were browning that’s the second problem. So for the for the gnats they are still here but does anyone know how to get rid of them? And for the I think sun damage can anyone tell me how to help that? Also here’s a picture.

Hello ! I have a problem with my plant here. It has bloomed twice now the little flowers die off and I took all the dead ones off then it started to bloom again. Now it’s doing the same thing but this time there not coming back. Is it due to end of the season or is the plant sick? It is a Malia Neglecta or Dwarf Mallow also I know it’s over grown but if and when can I cut it back and how hard can I cut it back? Thank You!

Anyone know why my Calathea Ornata has curling leaves? Light issue or watering issue? TIA
