Thoughts on using this type of fertilizer for indoor plants + application tips? (Do you normally with water or direct application to soil)
I just got a string of pearls and I’ve heard that they are hard to take care of. I’m not sure if planta will be good because I’ve had some issues before. Should I trust planta and put her into a schedule or do it my self?
I’ve just started this new project with plants I’m getting older and never thought I’d ever get into plants but here we are 👍🏾I got one plant and now I’ve gone crazy and it’s amazing how interesting it is these are my collection I don’t know what all of them are called or how to even look after them all but I’m trying and it’s really rewarding and a great hobby. I 🩵💜❤️💚🩷💙🧡🧡🩶💛 all my plants.
Does anyone know what kind of plant this is? My friend is asking…I think its some sort of succulent?
For the planta app I use liquid fertilizer in my water. However, it has me water one day and the next day it says it needs fertilizer. Is there any way to fix this? Cause then I have to check the plants each day to see if they need fertilizer too.
Calathea rhizome spotted at the bottom of my pot. Is it time for a repot? This is all i can see at the bottom, no other visible roots or rhizomes. I’ve got some browning leaves and wonder if it may be because it’s due for a repot? Also, if i were to repot, what size would be best? It’s currently in a 6” pot. Thank you!
Can anybody tell me the names of these two plants; I know they’re baby rubber plants and I think one is a sweet and sour and maybe one is a variegated??? TIA for your brains! 🤗💚🪴
My Alocasia just got real phallic all of a sudden. What are we doing here?! UPDATE: it’s no longer standing at attention and no flower…
I am planning on leaving my beloved green friends for a short period of time. At this point, they don’t have a plant sitter as she is pregnant. I’m looking for a self watering system for in-home use. Water globes, and bottles attached to watering stakes may not offer the plant enough water, or so I’ve been told. Could you give me any advice on an item that would serve this purpose well? I like the idea of a plant being watered as it needs it rather than getting water as programmed since I’m afraid of getting a plant too wet. However, I’ve been told that self watering devices may not give enough water to moisture loving plants. What a conundrum! TIA for any comments on the following or maybe better ideas. Regards, 🤗💚🪴
ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS!?! IT LOOKS LIKE EGGS BUT I REALLY HOPE ITS NOT. My string of bananas has been having a rough time so I decided to give it some fresh fry soil and I took it out of the pot to find this… about to chuck this outside if I find out these are eggs 😭😭
Any tips for dealing with spiders around houseplants? Not spider mites I’ve seen them there is a several small spiders in my apartment and they are starting to create webs around my plants. I don’t like spiders and would prefer if they weren’t inside at all but especially not around my plants that I am constantly monitoring and checking on.
Hey! I’m wondering if anyone has any tips for moving house with plants? For example, packing them, placing them, watering etc. The plants I have are: Kentia palm Parlor palm Money tree Snake plant Calathea Birds of paradise Indian Laurel Money plant Some snowball succulents Mitre Aloe Spider plant Pineapple plant Dormant moth orchid They’re all mostly in great condition and really happy where they are placed. I’m worried that the house move will interrupt them. At the moment a lot of my plants are in an attic room and they get a good amount of light. In the new place there is a conservatory, and plenty of light and shady places for them to sit!
Hi! I have this string of bananas/fishhooks and it’s been growing great, when all the sudden i notice one of its trails has died at the start. Super soft and soggy feeling, and just wanted to make sure this isn’t cause for overlying concern/if i should pull it or let it stay. New growth is starting to the right of it so i think the plant is still healthy. I can’t lose this plant she’s too pretty 😍
When you buy a new plant thinking it’s an “easy care,” then look it up on Planta & see “Hard.” 😭
I love the feeling of watching the fungus gnats on my plants get increasingly more confused as more and more of their comrades and babies die one by one. anyway here’s my plant master oogway (my phone camera isn’t great so don’t mind the quality)
My monstera deliciosa looks healthy but bottom leaf is dried up and brown. Can anyone tell me what’s going on +tips for better care?
Any advice for how to quarantine plants ?? I’m learning the hard way that it’s best to quarantine new plants 😵 one of my plants has thrips and I think it spread to some of my other nearby plants - how far away do these plants need to be from others while quarantining ? Do they need to be in a separate room or is ~6 ft away okay ??
Hi! Any thoughts on how/when to use hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl alcohol with plants ?? I’ve taken propagated plants out of my prop box after a month or so of propagating and most of the plants are healthy and rooted, but there was definitely mold in the box so things are not smelling great. I don’t want mold to grow on the plants when I plant them, but I don’t want to misuse chemicals and accidentally kill my plants 😵
Has anyone grown a plant only in perlite? I had some Monstera cuttings propagating in perlite for 3 months but was considering keeping them that way. Any suggestions?
Considering transferring my Syngoniums and alocasias to pon or similar.. wondering if this is a good idea.. please share your thoughts..tia
