So I’ve been propagating my polka dot plant for a few weeks now and she’s doing so amazing. I woke up and found this purple leaf/flower? This is my first time with with the plant so I’ve never seen this before. Does anyone know what she is?
SPIDER MITES!! How would you go about stopping/preventing spider mites from coming in through (about 12) closed windows? I do have a 10lb bag of diatomaceous earth… but also not trying to kill everything outside. Appreciate anyone and everyone’s input 🙏
Well, one of my plants like this isnt doing the best but this guy is thriving, keeps on putting out floweres and leaves, plus hes grown so much🥰
HELP!! I’m not sure if she is dying or needs more tlc. I got this plant a few months ago and everything was fine, these past few weeks the leaves have been turning yellow and some brown, I’ve kept up with my normal watering schedule (once a week) but she’s only been getting worse. Does anyone have any advice or know what’s wrong It’s been cold so I’m not sure if it has to do with temperature
I’ve slowly replaced philo’s with Alocasia’s being my favorite - don’t know why as they’re super finicky, I guess I just see an Alocasia at the store and feel the need to add it to my collection. My black velvet has been with me the longest out of these and has lost all of its original leaves; any tips on keeping them happy and healthy? The texture feels thin and frail , may just be maturing but I feel like something could be wrong 🤥

Can someone tell me what’s going on with my Calathea Network? I have it in indirect sun a few feet from a south facing window that actually doesn’t get too much direct sun. Just watered and it was doing fine until yesterday I noticed these spots.
Hi everyone! I just bought this beautiful fiddle leaf fig. Any advice on where to put it? I have two big windows facing west and one sliding door facing North. West facing windows get a lot of light in the afternoon. Thanks!
My Dumbcane, while seemingly healthy and still popping off new leaves in November, has gotten leggy and weird near the base. This plant was gifted to me from a close friend years ago and means so much to me. Is there any way to fix this awkward thing?
can you water your fern too much?
My pothos looks a little wilted, and some of the leaves are turning black. Anyone know what is going on with my pothos, the soil was very hard so I just watered hoping it will loosen up soil, but anybody have any advice.
Helpful hint of the day: Right above that Ogre’s Ear is a hanging plant that is absolutely horrible to move but also leaks. I was constantly using towels and paper towels, etc. etc. Finally had the bright idea to put down a puppy pad. If you don’t have a 15 1/2 year-old senior dog that goes from one end of the house to the other and you don’t have puppy pads on hand, lol, they sell them at the dollar tree usually and they’re about four for $1.25. They really don’t look great, but this is in a place that can’t be seen.

Is a grow light worth it? I live in a one bedroom NYC apartment so it’s a small space. I don’t have many plants at this point because some have died over the years, the only larger plants are my monstera and snake plant. Is a grow light worth getting with such a small collection? Sometimes I wonder if it would help growth, but I can’t have it on at all hours since the plants are in my bedroom (the only place sunlight comes in, unfortunately.) Just looking for some practical advice, thanks!
I have an absolutely gorgeous new leaf on my dark majesty! She was super red a couple of days ago but I only thought to take a picture this morning on the way out the door. You can see it in the plant header though!
