hello everyone! i need some help identifying this type of dieffenbachia! i think it might be a tropic rain? but i bought if from kroger and they don’t label their plants correctly!!! it did have rotting leaves, but right now it’s doing great, with 2 new leaves!

I can’t figure out my dieffenbachia. I was watering about once per week and her edges were dry and brown. I tried watering a little more frequently and then she started turning yellow and lost quite a few leaves. I live in Arizona so probably not enough humidity. Does anyone know how to take care of this plant? If so, what’s your schedule? Trying to save her before it’s too late. (She looks okay in the picture but she used to be very full as you can see in the other photo)

Is a grow light good or bad when curing an overwatered plant? I read that you should move it into the shaded area until it’s healthy again.
Why are plants more complicated than children?!?!

can anyone tell me more about using leca instead of potting soil? i keep having gnat infestations and i’m looking for a soil that avoids this. somequestions i have:
i hear that if i use leca i need to have a pot without draining holes, is this true?
does it really keep pests away?
is it really reusable?
if anyone has advice or information about this i would appreciate it! thanks!

Anyone know what type of plant this is? Bought it unlabeled from a nursery. Was told it can survive in a closed terrarium if that helps at all (it didn’t do too well, some parts of it turned into a black sludge). Tips on how to revive are appreciated as well!

So I’ve had this diffenbachia for a few years & she’s gotten so tall & keeps pushing out new leaves I don’t like how she looks with the stakes in but if I don’t she just flops. I recently repotted her & the roots are healthy, also no sign of pests. I’ve heard it’s just a thing with these but I was wondering if y’all have any suggestions.

What do you think this plant is? I’ve had it for years. Someone told me it as Star if India… but it’s not bushy like other Aglaonema. I was thinking Maria Christina? Any other thoughts? Also a baby is sprouting from the soil

I don't know what it is about my Pink Princess and White Knight varieties, but they frequently need help getting their new leaves to come out. We like to say that we are "plant midwives" helping the new baby leaf be "born". So if you ever think you're too weird OR that you're a crazy plant parent, just remember that you're not as weird as my daughter and I role playing "Call the Midwife" while standing over a philodendron. 😎

I was wondering if I could add my small plant to this bigger one I have (probably not a good question but I’m curious)

I think it’s time to repot my lucky bamboo. Right now she’s in soil with a top layer of pebbles, but what are my other options for bamboo? I have this one in the bathroom so there’s plenty of humidity. I’m thinking I might want to stray away from soil. Any advice?

Any tips on getting a philodendron Florida ghost to root? Got a clipping yesterday and I’m scared to mess up🥲 right now it’s in sphagnum moss in my greenhouse under a grow light

I could use some advice/ideas on what I’m doing wrong with these 2 spider plant hydroponics. The first two have struggled since day 1. They have fertilizer in them now, but not always. Attached is a 3rd spider plant that has been getting the same treatment as the others, but is thriving.

Does anyone know what is wrong with my lithops

Does anyone know if this is normal? This stem was like pure white and today looks like this… Not sure if this is what happens when the leaf is starting to form?

Does anyone know what is growing from that leaf? I don’t think it’s a new leaf since one is already unfurling. There’s also a second one on another part of the plant. Are they aerial roots?

Here’s my spider plant. For a while I had him placed outside because I was afraid he wasn’t getting enough sun, and then I noticed he had some black tips on his leaves; what does that mean? I usually have succulents so I’m used to drowning them in sun. The photo that’s not zoomed in is how I have him placed in my plant light, is that enough? The others are what’s happening to him.

My Pilea has been rather spindly. Is it not getting enough light? I have to make sure I rotate it so it doesn’t keep leaning towards the window.
*UPDATED TO CORRECT PLANT* thank you all!
