I’m ready for poinsettias!!!!
My micans is so scraggly. Any advice on how to get her looking more healthy and bushy?
Hi there! I’m visiting my granny and she has this plant in her living room. I love it and would love to get one but we don’t know the name! Any help would be appreciated
Hi :) I have got this plant as a gift but I don’t know what’s the plant name and what care it needs. Anyone has any ideas ? Thank you
This was my 2nd schleffera i had bought from IKEA. Both died within 4-6 weeks, the exact same way - roots literally rotting off the stem and then the rest of the plant dropping leaves like crazy or turning brown. The soil was a bit soggy when I bought each one, but when I bought the 2nd one I made sure to repot it - I forgot to do it right when I brought it home so it repotted it after maybe a week or two. I also made sure to let it dry out between waterings. Would all this damage be from overwatering when it was still at the store? Asking because I’m really surprised at the extent and speed which it rotted. The roots didn’t seem like they were in bad shape when I repotted the 2nd one a few weeks ago.
Brought home a couple strays today 😅
6 weeks ago vs today, this Rhapidophora decursiva has grown probably 16in of bare stalk! The curled up leaf in the left photo is the highest one on the right photo. Trying keiki paste on a couple of nodes as an experiment. Has anyone had a similar experience with one of these? She sits directly in a south facing window so it cant be lack of light
Does anyone know what this is?!! Was labeled “indoor foliage” at Trader Joe’s haha
Fell in love at Publix Saturday. But now I need to know how to care for them!! 🥰
3 new beauties to add to my collection! 💚
Hi there I was gifted this plant that needs some rehab. The problem is I don’t know what kind of plant it is. Hoping someone here knows and can tell me!
I rescued this baby for half off today! I’m so excited as she’s my first Calathea. I know that they’re notoriously difficult. Any advice?
My babies are loving their new humidifier haha. ✨❤️
I press a lot of my houseplant leaves when I prune and today I arranged some of them in this large frame. Was extremely challenging but managed to make it look pretty nice without damaging any leaves. Caladium leaves are especially delicate once dried, thinner than tissue paper.
Hi. So I posted yesterday about this plant asking what I should do, and someone suggested to repot her again because the soil has been wet since I watered it last Wednesday when I got it in the mail and then repotted it. I rinsed off the roots to see how it looked and they look like this. Is this root rot? Have I killed my baby before I even got the chance to enjoy her??? I just don’t fully know how roots are supposed to look and thought they normally are more white. . In the meantime of waiting for answers, I’m going to repot her and hope for the best.
Hello everyone! I currently have an albo monstera, the leaf is turning yellow, it’s a cutting but the roots are crazy long. The cutting keeps getting root rot. I’ve cut it off, sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and nothing. Still rotting. Any tips? She’s potting in sphagmoss. She’s under a red and white light for 12 hrs a day.
I’m going out of town for about three days next week and just realized I have nobody to take care of my 25 plants. How do I make sure they get enough light? I can’t leave all the blinds open and I can’t leave their grow lights on. I do have some windows in the kitchen I can move them all closer to. Will they be ok for a few days without as much light as they’re used to?
Hello, so I have 11 baby spider plants that I potted a few weeks ago and this is the only one not doing well. Her leaves are turning yellow. But they’re not like crispy or anything just soft yellow leaves. They’re about 5 feet away from a south facing window. I water them around every 10 days during winter. Any help would be great. Thank you. One of the pictures is in comparison to my other plants.
These guys are always wilting and sad. It’s not close to a window, but there is natural light in the room. It was great until I repotted it months ago and now it’s just always sad.
