Hey guys do you know when a sunflowers ready to be picked?
Newbie question.. should I be watering my plants with special water… I just use tap water. Hose water for my plants that are on the porch. Sorry for the newbie questions. I really want to learn and be a good plant momma.
Meet Dorothy, I almost threw this baby out a few weeks ago. After I brought her home, She got some kind of fungal thing and dropped all leaves except one. She had a third stem that died off. Begoñas hate me but I decided to give her one last chance by putting her in a better soil mix and a terracota planter. She now lives under my fern and seems to thrive on the humidity there. She has so many new growth points and leaves. I’m glad I tried again 🫶 I also decided to keep an online journal for my plant journey. If you want to follow, look me up on Instagram as Myplantyaccount 🥰
Still have no idea what this is but here is their progress (the photo where it looks the best was taken before it started to die it lost a lot of root when repotted) if you have any idea what this is please help 😂 edit: I guess planta doesn’t post photos in order
Love these new babies 😍😍
Here’s Penelope. She’s in her Wick & Grow self watering pot looking healthy as ever!
This is my new “African Side-necked turtle”. It just get the biggest kick out of his permanent smile 😊. I put plant hangers in the aquarium with pothos in just to help keep nitrates down now that we have two. Rosco is the painted turtle on the right, he’s about 12 and he’s a rescue. The African is a baby… l went in to the pet store to get supplies but that smile got me!! All this to say the turtles knocked the pothos into the water and started taking huge chomps out of it like it was lettuce and I FREAKED! Pothos is poisonous! ☠️ I never thought anything of it because I’ve used it in fish tanks for years…Well evidently it’s not poisonous to reptiles! So I’m very grateful my friends are ok. P.s. the baby doesn’t have a name and the store said it was too young to tell if it is male or female…can someone help me name it?! When I first saw it I thought of the Pokémon “Bulbasaur” right away but I’m not convinced…TIA 🐢🌿

Oh my god I just got a air plant expecting it to be pretty easy to take care of I mean I doesn’t have roots how hard can it be right but I just found out that this little diva needs to soak in water for 30 minutes and dry FOR THREE HOURS like I’m into plants so it’s not that big of a deal but it’s the hardest plant to take care of 😭😭😭
My fiddle leaf fig has rust spots. I have only had the plant for about a month. Any ideas?
Any thoughts on what this is? Maybe spider plant but the leaves are thick. I picked it up on Lowe’s clearance rack and the barcode says assorted cactus?
couple of questions about this plant i just got this morning. planta is saying it’s a corn plant but the label on it said bromeliad, is anyone able to identify this for me? secondly, there are white spots all up and down the leaves that look like residue from the dishwasher (lol), is this plant infected? any advice is appreciated 🤍🫶🏻

hi!! i bought a fern today, and i was told that they require a lot of humidity. the employee told me i can take it into the bathroom while i shower as a way for it to get a little moisture, but the humidity wasn’t leaving my shower bc it has closed in doors, so i put it inside in the corner of the shower floor. i had accidentally gotten a blob of soap on a couple of the fern’s leaves, but quickly wiped it off. is there anything else i should do? just a bit concerned
