I’m trying to decide what to do with this dracaena. I don’t love this bare stem palm tree look, and it always looks sad, so I’ve been considering chopping and propagating it to start over. I’m nervous to just cut the stem, so I’ve thought about trying air layering to make sure it’s successful. Has anyone attempted something similar? What was your experience propagating a dracaena? As a side note, this plant has been droopy like this for probably a year. The roots are just fine, and it doesn’t matter how I take care of it. I’d think it was supposed to be this way except that it didn’t used to be this droopy, and I haven’t seen other dracaenas droop like this. It is also easily prone to brown spots on the leaves. I don’t know what the deal is because I have another similar dracaena that’s doing great. Any thoughts?

I wanted to share one of my happy places in my home, my dining room (excuse the messy table, lol). Besides the messy table, I love how it turned out! Now on to the next roomā™„ļø

We got these four new babies! Does anyone have any advice on the lucky bamboo?! Do I put it in water do I get a chunky bamboo soil or do I put it in lecca??

Hey there! I picked up this colocasia black ruffles at our local nursery the other week, and a new leaf is starting to emerge! I’m relatively new to keeping any plants other than cactus, so I’ve been doing some research about repotting and I’m getting conflicting information. I’ve read that elephant ears shouldn’t be in anything smaller than a 12ā€ pot, but I’ve also read that you should only repot 2ā€ above the current size, so if you were in my shoes, what would you do for this guy? I just feel this nursery pot is way too small for a plant this tall, but maybe it’s not? For reference it’s a 4ā€ nursery pot, and my plant is probably just over a foot tall. Thanks for helping us out!

Trying to pick a name for this Ficus Elastica Tineke my dad gifted me ā˜ŗļø I’m leaning towards Lydia, Sam, Terry, Ariche, Linh, or Stella. Any thoughts? TIA for any suggestions! (For reference, my other ficus elastica are named Lani (burgundy type) and Ruby (ruby or Belize variegation)

what are some low-light plants that could survive in a basement bedroom with a big window that gets indirect sunlight?!:)

If you had unlimited funds, what plant would you buy? I would love a full-grown Japanese Global pothos. I have a smol one, which I love, but I am impatient. šŸ˜„ Also have been fantasizing about fancy scindapsus lately, and philodendron Strawberry Shake. šŸ˜ŒšŸ’šŸŖ“

Hello planty peeps! 🌱🌱🌱 I would like to hear some options you guys have for different brands of coco chips you may use. Im about to make a new batch of soil & would like to use that instead of orchid bark.

Hiii, I’ve been wanting to get a money tree and bird of paradise. Does anyone have any basic care on these babies before I purchase them?

Does anyone have a snake plant

Hi all! I’m planning to use worm castings and other garden/compost scraps for my fertilizing needs. How do you add this in the app? I have it as an option to use ā€œcompostā€ for some plants as a slow release fertilizer option but it’s not available as an option for all of my plants so it looks like some aren’t fertilized at all. Thoughts on how to work around this?

I’m looking for plants that reproduce quickly. For example, I just got some Mothers of Thousands and I’m considering a Spider Plant. Any other suggestions?

what do you do to keep your begonia maculata happy? she was growing really great for a while but then suddenly she dropped a bunch of leaves and got a bit leggy. it was originally 3 stalks but one died completely, before it died i tried to propagate a healthy part of it and it didn’t work so im a little nervous to try to trim her down and propagate her again.

Happy August 24th! Hello community, I just grabbed two more palm trees I was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind they are? I’d love special care instructions please for palm trees, I’ve heard how difficult they are to care but I’m ready for the challenge. Thank you , -AH

Should I repot my stromanthe trio-star? I feel like in some parts of the bottom of the pot, the roots are starting to poke out (pictures attached). I am scared of repotting her as she is delicate, but I am also scared of not repotting her if she needs it. Any guidance welcome 😊
