Hi folks! Firstly, I received a new succulent today (which I would like help identifying!) that was propagated by someone else, and another person asked me to try to propagate their succulent. They gave me leaves that had fallen off and placed them in the dirt. Will this work? Secondly, my spider plant that I’ve had for a few months and has grown beautifully has brown tips. I moved it from the window, but it was never in direct sunlight because I’m in a basement. Any advice is much appreciated.
Does anyone know if these are bad or not they are on my sweet potato and it is everywhere
i’m a new plant mom, so i am not very knowledgeable about advanced plants.. anyway, i just got this fern from trader joe’s the other day, and i was wondering why the leaves on it are turning purple? i mist it 1-3 times a day, it sits near a heater but also next to a colder window, and it was (possibly) overwatered 3 days ago because i didn’t realize that TJ’s waters their plants, so i gave it a little tiny extra water that same day i got it. i loosened the dirt at the drainage holes and top of the pot as well for less chance of root rot. is there anything i should be doing differently, a little more, a little less, or is this normal? i am just not sure so if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it! :)
Anyone know how to make my goldfish go to the other side? In the summer I tried putting it in the window to grow that way bu it didn't work and now it's to cold to go in the window
Why does one look more green than the other??
So pumped about the variegation already peaking through on the new leaf of my rescue pearls and jade pothos 🥹
2025 has made me want to get more plants. I only have an aloe plant so far, she’s about 2 years old. Can y’all suggest some beginner plants for me? Somewhere to start? Inside or outside really doesn’t matter. 🪴
Just got this plant yesterday, I’m wondering how do you guys feel about the blue glass self watering thing? I filled it yesterday and all the water is gone and I see like water coming to the end of stems but it hasn’t dripped. I don’t want root rot so should I keep the watering thing and put more water in it or take it out?
Successful SOP parents ! A couple questions 😅 why are some of my beads drying up but the rest of the string is fine ? How often do you water, bottom watering ? Are we leaving them outside or no ? I’ve killed about 3 now so I need your advice ! 😆
I have a giant shelf above my TV that I would love to fill with plants! But it is north facing, and doesn’t get too much light from the windows. It’s about 8ft from the east and north windows. What plants would you recommend here?!
Just need to show off the prop vase I got thrifting for $6. 🤩
hey my mom got me a Christmas cactus but I don’t have any experience with any plants like them, and only a little in blooming plants (African violet). if anyone had any tips that’d be great!

I love my little Echeveria.🥰
Hi everyone I'm new to the group. I'm a new mommy to this spider plant and having plants at all. All your advice is greatly appreciated. I've read the reason why the leaves could be browning but idk? Any thoughts on why the leaves are bending and how I can I take care of it so it's beautiful and healthy 💚
New cabinet and its contents
My spider plant is looking super sad. Any suggestions? I’m not sure what’s wrong and I’m not sure if it’s salvageable but I’d like to try. I’ve allowed it time to dry out mostly between waterings and it gets sunlight without being too close to the window. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated!!
My friend gifted me this plant and I’m flummoxed. Snake plant, dracena, bromeliad? I keep getting different answers.
So I just ordered a variety of flower seeds and was wondering if anyone could inform me on how to correctly germinate seeds , and key tips. Are heating mats necessary? Should I directly place seed in the same size depth of the seed itself and water it occasionally, or is there any other method of growing. I’ve seem to failed a peat moss pallet. Sowed seeds in a self watering container I bought from Lowe’s for under 14 dollars , didn’t seem to get any growth . Let it sit for 2 months . And nothing
