Alright people. I’m looking for any and all tips on moving plants to semihydro from what medium to use to fertilizer to which plants love it etc. my Monstera got root rot (I think I repotted it into a pot that was too large?) so I chopped and water propped but am too nervous to repot into soil and want to try my hand at semihydro. TIA!!

Hello! Y'all were a big help before, so thought I'd try again for help with a different plant. I bought this bromeliad a couple weeks ago. I read that most times when you buy these they have already bloomed, so I am assuming this one already has. And I understand that they begin to die once that happens. My question is, is that what is happening here? I noticed the center of it is browning and looking like it's dying. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I am watering in the cup. Which by the way, just to be clear the cup is the part I have circled, correct? I would like to keep her alive long enough to give me a pup to propagate. This one is definitely a bit of a learning curve for me! Thanks!

Hey y’all! I’m new to plant care and my calla lily has appeared to be thriving the past month or two. However, she’s getting absolutely massive with new leaves popping out almost every day. For reference, she’s about 36” tall in a 10” pot. Does she need to be trimmed or moved to a bigger pot? Also, she’s only had 1 flower that lost its bright yellow color and faded to a light green after about a week. Is this normal or should I be doing something different? Also while I was talking these photos I noticed the little brown spot in the 3rd photo. Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance for any and all help you can give!!

Hi! I’m a bit new to plant care this is my Aglaonema china red. I noticed that two leaves curled a bit. The lower one has a bit of discoloration. The middle is kind of new it was rapped in and just fully came out a couple of weeks ago but it’s curled backwards at the tip. Does anyone have any advice? Is this something to be concerned about?

POLL! What plants are your 1) Best? 2) Worst? 3) Wishlist? ME! 1) BEST: calatheas, prayer plants, money tree, and most peperomia. My string of turtles is doing so well so far. 2) WORST: I just can’t keep peperomia pepperspot or ruby cascade alive 3) I would love to have a monstera but I don’t have a space for such a large plant. My wishlist of plants I will probably buy soon are a pin-stripe calathea ornata, a prayer plant with red in the leaves and a calathea orbifolia.

Does anyone have suggestions on taking care of carnivorous plants ? Things that have worked for them. I am starting to grow a collection. I have bought The Savage Garden and purchased a venus fly trap and a pitcher plant. Things were going well with the trap but after transplanting it not so good. I find them fascinating.

Hi! I just rescued this plant. I’m not sure from my research if it’s a Rubber plant variegated or a Jellie plant peperomia. I was wondering if someone could give some advice of how to take of her. I gave her new soil about two weeks ago and watered her yesterday with some plant food.

Does anyone know at all what type of plant this is? I thought it was some sort of pothos but i just can’t seem to find anything that looks exactly like it. I got it from an antique shop i frequent and asked the owner what it was and she had no idea.
