Some people call all Plants girls. I tried to make approximately half of mine boys. Will you guys post about some of your male plants? These are: Winter, Johnson, and Romeo.
Kind of a sad day today. I’ve been reducing my hoard to have more time with other endeavors. Over 200 last winter. Down to about 110 if I sell these plants. I have plants and furniture and a few odds and ends out for a community yard sale. But everyone is buying plants! I’m sad to get rid of them. Some I’ve had for years. But everyone has nothing but praise for them, which makes me feel good.
Update on my Thai Constellation I got a few hours ago. 1. No root rot, very healthy roots 2. I see signs of a new leaf coming soon 3. Just stunning…..
Around an 8 month difference between these two photos. Her color has became so bright and beautiful! No filter needed. 🌸🎀
New family members were welcomed home today!
Question, when is good to start fertilising after repotting?
My first Thai constellation. Any tips?
Show us yoir unconventional planters! 😍 From teacups to toy trucks, if it’s holding a plant and it’s a little unhinged, it belongs in the comments 💚
HELP! I am looking for the best bang for you buck leca. What brands do you use or where do you buy yours? No stores near me sell leca in person.
Yay. The pluto propogation finally has a lone red root! Nearby a corm also finally sprouted a white whispy root diving straight for the perlite! Took a while! What do you know fall is not a great time for starts 🤣. Unfortunately there's a chunk of glass missing from my bowl, bummer.
My philodendron ‘pink birkin’ has recently put out a new leaf, and look at that pink! I recently repotted her, and she’s under a grow light. I’m so excited that she’s happy! (Points to anyone who knows the name! ☺️💙💙)
My philodendron is putting out weird small leaves at the top, is it time to propagate it? I don’t have experience with propagation so not sure when/if I should do it
I’m so proud of this one, not one crispy edge! Just a happy plant 🥰
Good morning! I recently got into gardening and bought a seed packet to try as well as an established plant (lemon balm). I don't know a LOT but I've been looking to maybe start a small herb garden. However I live in an apartment on third floor so those restrictions exist. I was wondering if there were any tips for growing/not worrying as much about my plants and their growth? I live in a Cfa climate (humid subtropical) and my balcony is south facing and gets maybe 4-6 hours of sun a day. Thanks!
I recently purchased a Calathea makoyana. I’ve had several of these over the years and this one, and the group it was in at the nursery, looked unique. The colors are not as vibrant and it almost has a tawny cast to it. I could’ve sworn it was labeled as some kind of variegation, but the label is basic. Does such a thing exist? I bought it at a very reputable nursery in my area, so I don’t feel like I was duped.
For two months, all I could say was “it doesn’t seem to be dying”. Today I noticed it looked taller, and when I looked more closely…THERE ARE TWO NEW LEAVES! This is supposed to be a tricolor Hoya Krimson queen and I really want to see the pink leaves.
recently got a plant light and humidifier for my Rex Begonia! any tips to make sure it grows big and strong? (the decorative pot has drainage holes, i plan to move it once i get more nursery pots)
Keeps pushing out leaves and then drops the old ones right after. What Should i change?
Wanted to share the beauty of all white leaves while they are still around 🤍 on my philodendron —her name is princess 👑 fergie 🤍💚
