When I say I have THE BEST nursery 1 mile away from my house, I’m not joking. This is part two of the haul. Part 3 anyone? 😏😍

With the warmer weather this week, I've finally been able to get out in the garden. And I discovered an unexpected but welcome perk to having my now-toddler following me everywhere "helping" me garden: I can talk to my plants without sounding nearly as crazy. 😆

My local nursery had all the beauties today!!!! Who wants to see part two? 😍

Hello everyone, as you can see in the photos, I’ve gotten a wonderful peperomia that’s flowering like crazy. Today, though, one of the flowers dropped, and I’m worrying slightly. I’m pretty sure that’s normal, but it is seven years old and I just repositioned it a few meters away from its original spot but still in the same room. Any tips or suggestions greatly appreciated! I’m worrying because the flower that dropped still had lots of pollen left. 3rd picture: where it used to be (just in case)

I will just let everyone on here know that you SHOULD check out Palmstreet to find beautiful plants and CHEAP. All of these (Excluding the monstera white monster) were only 40$ with shipping!? & the shipping was within a week and very very well done for the plants journey.

I would like some advice/suggestions. I love my snake plant. I've had it for over 3 years. However, within the last year 3-4 of its stalks have grown so tall, well over 2 feet, but are very, thin. I need to prop to a stake or they'll flop over. The ones at the base are thicker, which is ultimately the look I want but with the height. 😜 how do I balance it out? They're so slow at propagating, that chopping hurts my heart.

Hi! Need some advice! I bought these two marble queens to hopefully frame this doorway as they grow. I can’t decide if I should hang them and wrap them downwards or keep them on the ground and let them climb the metal. My dilemma is that I want the leaves to stay small and I am concerned that letting it climb would ruin that. Also, I’m just unsure which would look better. Any opinions are welcome! (Also I know it looks so messy, I swear cleaning up the weeds is next on my todo list)

Hi all. Kind of a beginner here but obsession is growing fast. Alarmingly fast lol. I noticed planta sends out reminders about fertilizing. I purchased a liquid fertilizer but haven’t used it yet. Should you really do it every time the app says? Should I dilute it and mix with water sporadically during its normal watering cycle from spring-summer only? Are there certain types of plants you’ve found shouldn’t be fertilized that it says to? With the watering schedule I check soil first and then use my own discretion and do well with that part, but the fertilizer part I’m new to. Any tips? Please and thank you from a beginner.

Funny Friday! If one of your plants could have a job title, what would it be?.. 🤣 CEO of Overwatering Complaints? Chief Sunbeam Inspector? Professional Wilting Enthusiast?

I have been banned from buying anymore plants from my entire family 🥹 (my last plant I bought was on the 14th) I have seen so many plants I ache to buy recently, and I just want to go to the local bylands. Just posting this for emotional support 🤞 I am supposed to not buy any plants for a year... Let's see how this goes... Anyone know any excuses I can use to buy more? Ones that always end up working? I am nervous I am going to have a heavy relapse if this is forced to go on for too long... Though, I was allowed to purchase some grow lights luckily 😉🫠

So I know for certain types of plants they can’t be fertilized, like my Venus fly trap, the minerals could kill it ect. So why when I added my Venus fly trap to Planta it suggest I fertilize it? I’ve noticed this as well with other plants. I just click “ignore” or whatever option at the bottom but still. I feel like for beginner plant owners this could have them accidentally kill some plants :( I also have some plants that need to be watered with filtered water, not tap water (as the minerals/chlorine) can effect the plant, and I’ve noticed Planta does not tell you this either when logging a new plant. :/ thoughts?

I just got back from a 10-day trip. I was kinda panicking with what to do with all 100+ of my plants. I had a dog sitter, but my fur children are enough of a pain in the butt. I didn’t want to burden her with my leafy children too. 😆 I ended up buying a pop-up greenhouse and set it up in my master bath. I grouped my plants into what absolutely needed to go into it, what could stay out with a watering bulb, what just needed a good water, and what needed minimal care (like succulents, cacti, etc.). Clearly, my begonias went into the greenhouse. My “Geometry” begonia had just started to bloom the prettiest pink flowers right before I left. I was bummed thinking that they’d probably all die off while I was gone. Imagine my surprise when I got home and saw that it exploded with blooms! 😍🌸 📸 1 & 2: before and after 📸 3: my fur children… even though no one asked 🤪

I recently bottom soaked my plant for the first time (after a drought 😬 irresponsible plant owner) and she’s been looking gorgeous- her leaves and vines are perky and green and firm. However, I keep finding beads of water at the tips of her leaves. I don’t mist her, and it’s not humid up here. Is she overwatered? Is this just a cool side effect of good watering? She is hanging, and most of her leaves are below the rest of the pot and her roots. She isn’t in the pot in her profile anymore, but a hanging plastic flower basket. There aren’t any other “problems,” she has new leaves and is looking better than ever. Just curious why/how this happens 😊
