This is my Kalanchoe Maroon Crinkle. It has gotten leggy (left). I had pruned it to encourage a bushier plant. It definitely put out shoots (right bottom) and the propagated part is doing well (right top). Contemplating a complete chop and prop to make it a fuller plant. Would you do it? I just get nervous if I chopped it all, I will kill it!

I lost a beautiful Queen of the Night that I grew from a stem given to me years ago. I salvaged a few stems and this one is thriving. Is there anything more I can do to help it mature? I would also be interested in purchasing another one but can’t find one. Any suggestions where to look?

Went to a homesteaders association in Virginia and came back with all these amazing plants including a Chester blackberry, marble queen, thyme, tiny tinny banana, copper tone stone crop succulent, lavender, cuttings from a coleus (that a very nice lady gave me) and an olive tree. I am quarantining them and can’t wait to see them grow!

OK, so no laughing, but I always get confused at this. lol. If I'm looking out my front window the direction is Southwest. So does that mean it's a southwest window or would it be a north east window because the sun is coming in at it heading to the northeast.

I have a domino peace lilly for a little over a year. It has been thriving, growing leaves on the regular and even gave me its first bloom which was also variegated. The location or light has not changed, however, it started to revert and the past three leaves have been green. What would cause that and is there any way to get back to be variegated again?

So, what should I about her? Just get her a really tall moss pole? As you can see her new growth has no support and she just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Still kinda confused on why she grew no leaves for so long then just started to all the sudden

Hi all! I am going on holiday all next week and all my plants have grow lights on them. I’m not sure whether to leave the lights off completely or have them on the entire time? Some of the lights have timers but some don’t. Will it be too much for them to have a whole week of light or is it better to just leave them off. The ones in my living room do get some natural light but the ones in my bedroom will have pretty much none. If anyone has any advice that would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Share your favorite plants! I need some inspo as I create a wishlist. So share your favorite plant species/cultivars and why (if you want to). I love pothos and have many, this Warneckei has the most stunning leaf color and contrast, and wow do monstera leaves get BIG! Have fun sharing your love for plants! Pictures or lists or whatever you want to share! And explore others favorites too! Thank you!! 😊

I got this plant last year when my friend thought she was killing it cause the flowers were dying I told her this was normal for this type of plant and that the plant would send out pups and the the mama's would die off and the pups would bloom. I have 3 pups but they are still small and the mama's still look good so I didn't cut them off and then last week I saw that the mama's are turning red again. Is this normal? I didn't think they would do this. Thanks for any input.

Hey all! I’m a new gardener and Planta has notified me that it’s time to winterize my bell pepper plant. How exactly does this work and is it too early in the year to begin this? Also, will my plant survive the winter? I bought it from Home Depot a couple months ago but it never grew any peppers. I’m also wondering if I even should wonterize my bell pepper, as I read online that this should be done in areas where the temperate gets under 40 degrees, but the lowest here is like 55. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated:)

What is it… the time of year, or what?! It seems like many of my plants are either flowering, or having babies. In fact, I have babies coming out the yin yang, but I couldn’t put up more than four pics at a time. How about the rest of you, the same? I’m thinking I need a bunch of prophylactics…LOL! PS. And I have way more than just for PG plants… 🙄!

Excuse the image- but should I separate this dieffenbachia? Or leave it as it is?

I live in northwest NJ. It’s getting cold here, and my outdoor plants are going to go dormant for the winter soon. Planta keeps notifying me of task like pinching flowers or fertilizing and watering, and I’m not going to be doing these anymore until next spring. How do I get the notifications to stop?

How do I propagate these spider plant babies?

I live in Michigan and a few weeks ago at Plant Masters in Sutton’s Bay they did a 50% off end of year sale! I got all 3 for 65! The Tai Constellation was 65 but itself. I’ve been wanting one but couldn’t justify the price. This one even had TWO axillary buds in the one pot! Leaves got a good cleaning I just didn’t take updated photos.

I need some ideas. I am so tired of those ugly plastic pots with the coat hanger hangers. I can't do macramé hangers because the plants are so established now it would be horrendous to try and get them in. I bring them to the sink to water them so they need drainage on the bottom. So no over pots. 🤷‍♀️ I can't find any cute hanging pots. Help!! Thanks!😊

Did an anyone know why my rubber plant didn’t grow for 4 months in the late spring and summer then grew 7 leaves all at once over the past 2 weeks. 3 of those leave came from the same stem and it just popped out one leaf after another. I think it is done for now but is this normal and has this happened to anyone else?

I have accepted defeat in growing my monstera in our bedroom after its dropped its second leaf, now its going right next to my MIL’s that I setup so much better than the one I got myself 😂, gonna keep her and see what happens but Im quite disappointed. (Moss pole is mine, one without is my MIL) any suggestions for big leaf plants that are good in super low lighting to try out instead of this in our room?
