Here in central Missouri it is so windy and there is a chance of tornadoes later tonight and things are flying off porches but anyway my mom has a small glass table on her front porch with a plant on top of it and as we pulled into her driveway we saw the table fly up and hit the concrete on the porch and it shattered and the plant fell and dirt went everywhere, but thankfully I was able to repot it and I think it will be fine now. The chances of it happening as we pulled into the driveway was crazy
Any hints on bringing my shamrock back from hibernation? I’m fearing it not going to come back.
My friend got me an azalea a couple weeks ago and i’m trying my best to keep it alive. Recently all the flowers started dying off and i’m not sure why. I thought it was not enough water so today I gave her a little extra. Does anyone have tips for how to maintain her health? Please let me know !
Why is Planta telling me to water my tradescantia almost every day??? It’s weird. Almost feel like a glitch in the program.
Curious if anyone has ever experienced pups growing from the center of their snake plant? If that’s what this even is? I’ve never seen this before…I know it’s overdue for a repot (happening tomorrow) but curious if this is because I waited too long? I’ve only ever seen pups on the side before. I’ve had this baby for a good 7 years!
Hi everyone! I ordered an Areca Palm (or Bamboo Palm) online and I suspect it will arrive soon in the next few days. My only question is; is there anything I should know before I receive it? Thanks. When it arrives I will send a picture of it. 🌿
Just for fun - what's one planty best practice or rule that you refuse to follow? For me it is separating new plants and letting them acclimate to the new environment. 😂 My plants get at most, a day, to get their ?$*+ together in the new house. I do wash them pretty thoroughly and most of them also get repotted. Knock on wood, I have not had any pest issues... And only a couple plants have fully died from shock (RIP philo tortum lol... Didn't really like you anyways). Pic of my new moonshine snake plant that got this treatment 😂
Anyone have any recommendations for the plant support/ prop things? I have no clue what there actually called but one of my plants is starting to flop over because it's to heavy and I would like to not put to much stress on the stem.
Does Planta have vacation mode? Asking for a friend 😎
Does anyone like my plants? 👍
You wanna know what type of plant is planta keeps on telling me it’s one type and I highly doubt it is. just wondering…
Has anyone used this stuff before, and what plant would benefit from this?
How should I know when to plant this? I cut it off from a freinds plant and it has been growing in water for a few weeks, the roots have begun to sprout and I’m not sure when to plant.
Hey I’m unsure if this is normal in my terrarium, but my succulents are coming out, is this ok?
I think this cactus 🌵 is trying to tell me something 😂 maybe it’s time to repot 🤣
I’m not sure what is happening to my little snowflake aloe, but it is turning a darker color on all of its, used to be, green leaves! I’ve been very careful not to overwater it, being concerned I might have it succumb to root rot. Am I actually underwater this baby, or what? Why would these leaves turn a darker color like this? TIA! And please, don’t tell me it’s dying…☹️!
should i repot this breynia disticha? or should i leave it in its pot for a while longer and start fertilizing again?
Bought this monstera a year ago. It grew a few new leaves but only 2 were with holes. It seems to be drooping at the bottom where the stem is heavy and thick. It’s not growing as much new leaves and honestly looks a bit naked, not as bushy as it used to be. Is there something I i need to do to improve its health? Would be very grateful for the feedback! Thank for reading🙏🏻💗
I wanted to update you on my Birkin Philo. Recently, I showed you pictures of her with two white leaves; now she has THREE of them, and they are just gorgeous! I’m noticing that these white leaves are turning a bit more green as they age, with some light green lines in them as they get older. I know white leaves do not photosynthesize, so are these new leaves going to be problematic for my plant? Is this unusual for a Birkin to throw this many white leaves? TIA!
