You really don’t think your slow growers are growing until you do a progress report! 🌱

Hello, I just received this plant for Mothers Day. The plant search says it’s a Flamingo lily. They are beautiful description it came with says Peach Anthurium. Are they the same? Also the roots are coming out the pot of the pot! Is this right?

Hello everybody, I feel that I’ve been posting too often. So I’m going to turn it back to you! What’s your fave plant, what plants do you have and anything else! I’m so excited to see what everyone’s got! 🄰

SaintCrane

So when do you all decide that it’s over for your plant and that you want to either throw it away or give it up to someone else? lol I thought I’d be a ā€œkeep em foreverā€ type but not being able to get things right for some of them is actually turning into being a bother. I have an Anthurium who’s hated it here for almost as long as I’ve had it her, a Calathea that was absolutely fine until I fell off schedule, and a baby orchid that I fear isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! Oh and a Māori Haze begonia that is over here playing game with my hear. lol all of them have prime grow light real estate and increasingly less Spark Joy.

This leaf fell off of my aunt’s plant so I’m using it so I can make another plan. Can you guys tell me if this is good so I know if it’ll work or not (I think it might root because one time I took a tree seed and paper towel that was wet and then it rooted so I think this might work)

This is my plant Mabel. It is Romain lettuce. I only got it because we were growing in agriculture class and the weekend is coming up soon and there’s gonna be no one to water the plants so we got to take them home today.

Back with an update on Mei’s mysterious branch. If anyone can tell me if this piece of my Nematanthus ā€˜Shady Lady Mae’ is simply another cultivar, or if something could cause a Mae to change flower colors so drastically, please let me know šŸ˜‚ The last photo is what a ā€˜Shady Lady Mae’s flowers typically look like, and what the rest of Mei’s branches are blooming. She doesn’t have the red streak under the leaves like a ā€˜Shady Lady Marlene’, and she doesn’t look like a Tropicana aside from the leaf color. I’m pretty stumped about this branch, but she’s a pretty pleasant surprise, so I don’t mind that she looks so different from the rest of my plant, just curious 😊

She's in the Sun until it rains! Sideritis Scardica is Intensely full sun due to growing on rocky mountains in the wild. Fortunately, that means she has built-in sunscreen which could fare her well with the high UVs here! Unfortunately, that also means I need to find an indoor location for her over the summer, because our scorching summer heat is far too hot for this type of plant! Though it's spring now so fingers crossed she actually continues to grow well where she is!

Happy National Plant a Flower Day! 🌻 Today, we aren’t just planting for beauty - we’re planting for the future of our local ecosystems. Why go native? 🌻 Native plants are the backbone of our environment. They’ve evolved over thousands of years to provide the exact food and shelter your local bees, birds, and butterflies need to survive. By choosing a native species, you’re not just growing a flower; you’re restoring a piece of the wild. Plus, they are perfectly adapted to your climate, meaning they are naturally more resilient! THE CHALLENGE: We want to fill the comments with local inspiration. 1ļøāƒ£ Look up flowers native to your area. 2ļøāƒ£ Comment the name of the flower and where you’re located (City/State/Region). 3ļøāƒ£ Let’s get planting. Are you in? šŸ‘‡

Even if you want to share a picture of your favorite plant rooms! I love seeing everyone’s own unique style / creativity😁 Have an amazing day everyone & remember tomorrow is Friday!šŸ«¶šŸ¼

My outdoor ring feature is complete! Four are from a local nursery and in plastic pots. The rest are clipping from around the house directly in the terracotta pots.

Y'all think a root growing on the outside of the pot is a sign it's time to repot?.... šŸ«£šŸ˜…
