If I cut and put in new pots, will the plant survive? Where should I chop?
Midday coffee and pruning with the gang🌿🌻🪻lots of secondary bloom cycles happening🙌but id like😶😒🙄😑 to give a special shout out to the squirrels and their crop farms planted in all my canna lilly pots that I grew from bulbs in the house in early spring. The 🌽 is coming in hot🤨 and im not even sure what this other crop is😬 googly says sunflower microgreens🤷♀️ and i love this for them😏 not sure if my cannas will ever bloom tho😭😭 I have wild bunnies, chipmunks (chickenmunks as my grands say), and several squirrels that staycation here in the summer like the hamptons🙃
Hi all! I’m hoping for some advice. I have a money tree that I’ve cared for since it was a baby, and she’s now quite large and still growing. I also recently added a baby olive tree to my collection. This season, I’ve noticed a plethora of gnats, and they seem especially drawn to those two plants. So far, I’ve cleaned my windowsills with Clorox, used plant-safe spray on the plants, caulked the windowsills, added a Zevo UV light catcher, and had my building come out to exterminate. They’re also scheduled to come again on Tuesday. I don’t have fruit sitting out, and I keep a very clean home, so I’m at a bit of a loss. We live in a sun-facing apartment, and I’m wondering if the combination of warmth, plants, and soil moisture is making things worse. Has anyone dealt with this before, especially with money trees or olive trees? Any advice on what to do next to minimize or get rid of the gnats would be so appreciated. I am very much not a bug person, and they are driving me crazy.
Hi all! As a beginner, I have a question for all of the plant gurus out there. So my living space is not ideal for most plants (I live in a basement, only get light at specific times, wall ac units) but I want to keep plants alive! Are there any plants people would recommend for my kind of environment?
What's happening to my pothos? She is a beautiful propagation from my friend and has been happy and thriving and giving me new leafs but this morning she has a soft grayish black corner of one going on. I repotted her a few weeks back and moved her maybe a foot lower bc the new pot is too big for the window shelf.
The clones are taking off doing nice in this high heat 🍊 sherbet is packing fat flowers and smells sweet 🍓 gorilla is puny not a waste still putting flowers 🫐 O.G is full of flowers as well I also grow other plants
Hello, I have a monstera that’s getting so big and I’m assuming it needs repotting as the roots are coming out the current pot, it’s so big now and started getting floppy so I’m thinking when I repot it I have seen people using moss poles? , I was wondering does the plant stick to them of are would it be tie wraps like how does the moss pole help the plant stand up iv never used one before :)
I’m obsessed with my new additions! 😍
Got this new prayer plant and there’s a leaf with a crease is their anything I can do ??
Planta is recommending I fertilize my newly purchased and newly transplanted Ruby (Rubber Tree burgundy) . Is this a good recommendation? If not, how long should I wait before fertilizing?
I love ❤️ going to the nursery and discovering a new variety of plant. Today I added this guy to my collection 🎉. I’m calling him Frosty (Peperomia Frost). He’s quite interesting to look at, so I imagine I’ll enjoy getting to know him. 😊
I transplanted two indoor plants today. 😁 This time, I transplanted my Sunny because it was quite evident she had outgrown her very tiny nursery pot. Here’s how I did it. 😊
I’m new to caring for indoor plants, so there’s a lot for me to learn. Today I bought a Rubber Tree Burgundy (Ruby), but noticed that her soil was already compacted in a tiny container, and she had lots of roots. 🙁 Normally, I wouldn't have made any changes, but I suspected she needed additional soil to help her grow. So, I decided to transplant her. 😁 I’m crossing my fingers 🤞 that she thrives while adjusting to a new container and my home at the same time. I put her in a larger nursery pot and then placed her in a decorative pot with a drip tray inside it. Here are pictures of my process.
A few weeks ago I added a Rubber Tree “Tineke” to my collection. Today I added her sister “Ruby” to my collection. So happy! 😊🍃
Is this her first new leaf with me?!?! I just noticed this today when I went to clean her leaves😄😄😄
My daughter loves me and knows me so well 😍 totally going on the front door!
Yesterday I was checking my plants as usual and thought the big leaf in the center was a dead leaf. I was wrong. When I pulled the leaf out, it had this white thing the size of a marble on the end and was attached to the two leaves at the side. It also had a small root coming off the bottom. Panic ensued … but I was able to put it back in a small pot pictured below. What was the thing on the bottom? Plus is there a chance of survival? 🫠
Leaving a local plant event. Six new plants. Two blocks of plants and food vendors.
One of my favorites sucking up some sunshine!
