Hello I’m new here. I desperately need advice. I’m so mad at myself. My Jenny Craig was so green and beautiful (had her since she was a baby) she’s always been indoors. I use to live in west Texas dry heat then we moved to Houston in May of last year. It’s so humid here in the summer. Anyway a few days ago we had some beautiful weather (was not humid at all, just a nice cool day but not cold) so I thought hmmm I’m gonna put my baby outside to enjoy the weather. Then stupid me forgot her and at night it got to about 40 degree weather. Then a couple days later I went outside to water my plants and my Jenny Craig was looking like the picture I posted. I took her back inside to get her to recuperate. Will she get green again? If not do I cut all the yellow off to promote new growth? I don’t know what to do. I watered her and fertilized her yesterday (since she hadn’t had any fertilizer in a month). But her yellowing has nothing to do with overwatering or underwatering. She got like this because of the cold night weather. Remember she was totally green before I took her outside. Please help!!

Hi there! My mom got my this adorable Calathea Rattlesnake! The lady she got it from said it hates sun and needs a dark room. When I do a Google and look on planta it says bright indirect light. What do you reccomend? This is one of the plants I've wanted for a bit so I wanna keep it happy! Right now it's in my bedroom that gets minimal light. Thank you!!!

I know that Croton’s like to be dry before they are watered, but how dry is dry…🙄! Can anybody give me the percentage of dryness I should look for on my water meter? I do use a wood stake, but that comes clean out at about 38% dryness with my moisture meter. Soooo, how dry is dry for a Croton? TIA!

Hiya y'll! My 1 year old monsterra put out this new beautiful leaf, but I noticed these markings on it. I checked for pests and didn't see any obvious one. Does anyone know what this could be?

I’ve been reading about mycorrhizae and just got some from Amazon. I’m wondering how often you use it on your houseplants. I’m assuming not every watering, but I’m just curious how those of you who use it are using it. 🤔

Anyone know why my snake plant leaf could be turning yellow? The whole leaf is slowly turning yellow too. It was recently water and overall seems pretty happy. It's also growing new leaves so don't know if that could be the problem 🤷🏼‍♀️. Just trying to keep my plant healthy and alive 😊. Thank you in advance

Hey all! I’m in Zone 7 and am starting my first flower garden this year. I’ve decided to direct sow instead of start the seeds inside. When’s the best time to do this?

Hey, so my monsteras need repotting as they’re starting to lean and almost topple over so I need a bigger pot (which I do have) to fit the moss poles that I bought. My question is, am I able to use soil that I’ve had since last summer? Or should I buy fresh soil? As I still have a masssssive bag of it sat in one of my storage cupboards, I’m just unsure if that’s useable still after about 9/10 months? Would it have bugs or would it be fine to use? It has already been opened and a bit used last July. Tia:) Photo of my most recent monstera fenestration🥹

What do you all think this is? Pothos or Philodendron?

Help! My marble queen is GORGEOUS, but I added a bunch of cuttings so growth is very uneven compared to my oldest vine. Should I just be patient and let her grow, as it’s thriving? Or should I repot so the cuttings are closer? Or should I propagate the long vine and repot once I have cuttings and add everything together? Or what? Thanks!

Hello everyone I have a very sick avocado plant. Almost all the leaves have turned brown on the edges then fell off. The new growth on the top now appears to be dying too. I repotted it and several other plants, a few months ago with good drainage. I have an idea but would like to hear yours.

Does anyone have suggestions for making a self watering pot? Seems simple enough but I want feedback from actual plant peeps :)

Does anyone know why this would happen, and so suddenly? My mom thought it was from the heat, but the stem looks unhealthy as well.

First plant baby. How it started on 9/20/22 to how it’s going. We put the original pot in front for comparison. Been able to propagate her and share her beauty. Finally gave this champion a proper home to hopefully retire in. Glad she survived this green thumb 👍🏼🌱
