Bought these cute stem holders for my pothos. They snap open/closed so it makes it easy on watering days.

This banana plant has been giving me the blues. She is as initially holding water in her nursery pot. I’ve changed it to a chunky soil mix and now she looks worse than before. I currently have her under a grow light but I’m at a loss.

I’m trying to get help for my outdoor spider plant. Something is eating it, idk what, and I want to treat it before it’s worse. What can I put on it? I’ve attempted to post in other groups, but it never shows up :(

PSA I was just scrolling YouTube when I came across a video from A Current Affair Australia about potting mix almost killing an elderly man. What he had breathed from the potting mix almost killed him. For many years when starting we never wore a mask when dealing with perlite. Under a microscope perlite looks like shards of glass. I recommend never opening a bag of it inside, go outside for a second and dump your perlite in your mix. As a safety I guess we should always wear a mask when mixing soil.

I got this Chinese evergreen back in February for Valentine’s Day and it was half this size if not smaller and it’s grown to this I just recently repotted it but I was wondering if I needed to try to tie it up as you can see it’s wider than it is tall so I need to try and direct the growth into height or just leave it the way it is? I’m trying to have all my plants as happy as can be because I kinda neglected them during my pregnancy and now that I’m not pregnant no more I would love to see all my plants back to being happy

my monstera hasn’t done much in quite some time.. i haven’t seen any new growth in maybe a month.. is that normal.. i also don’t know what i’m doing with the pole but she needed some support

I don’t understand these plants! 😒

No judgement please… this poor tradescantia nanouk got a bit neglected last year - left in a hot window for longer than I care to admit to. As a result the lengths ended up quite dry and the leaves dried out and went brown. I moved it and kept feeding it but didn’t do much else at the time as I didn’t want to shock it more. I’ve now taken off most of the brown dry dead leaves - I left a bit so you can see if the pics. The ends have grown some healthy (ish) looking bits. I’m not sure if I should prune it back to the middle, repot it and hope for the best or if there’s a better solution, can you do the loop & pin thing you can do with pothos? Or cut the healthiest end bits off and propagate back into the bare bits of the same pot? Thank you for any advice!

Moth orchid blooming in March. I had this plant for seven years. It is the most dependable bloomer. Year round I keep it outside ( Southern California) and only bring inside when it blooms. The flowers are very fragrant, especially in the morning it fills whole room with sweet aroma.

The flowers on Silver Sword Philodendron. They stay open for very short. One time, i finally saw it open in the evening , I thought I would take a picture in the morning. Alas, in the morning it was shut close. It literally stays open a couple of hours!

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with my new plant? I’ve only been watering it when the top bit of soil is dry. It’s outside where it’s quite humid. The soil it came in wasn’t great, so I had to repot it right away, but the roots looked healthy. The new leaf coming in is now getting pretty brown, and the previous leaf has what I think is a burn along with some little spots that are maybe little burns too? I’ve checked it over and don’t see any bugs, webs, or anything obvious. Any ideas what could be causing this?

How would I start with growing plants in water? I’ve been curious, but scared (not propagation, but replacing soil with water) I heard from a friend that it might be good for my spider plant. I don’t want to kill it, I’ve gone through 3 of these little buggers 😔. Any advice?
