My ivy plant has been drying up and dying within the last couple weeks, I have been watering it once a week , and put it somewhere slightly sunnier , but it just does not want to grow? What should I do?
Got this The Anthurium DocBlock Michelle today when I repot it should I put the air roots under the soil?
Can someone PLEASE give me tips for this plant, it was my grandmothers and I want to keep it alive so bad! I’ve had one and it didn’t do so well. I was just given this one it had bad root rot, I’m adding perlite to the soil and trying anything I can to get it healthy again but any tip you could give I’d love you for! thank you all in advance!❤️
Duhhhh… I’ve been checking my philodendrons with wooden stakes, just like I do my pothos, when I need to water, however, I’ve just realized that even though care info shows they are medium drinkers, Planta says (under instructions for watering), they can be “sensitive to too much water so it’s better to air on the side of underwater rather than overwatering”. That sounds sort of like an oxymoron, to me! So, what should I be looking for if I’m going to use a moisture meter, not a wooden stake, since these plants don’t like to be totally dry? TIA!
I have several types of Tradescantias and they do great in the summer when they are outside and slowly over the winter inside they start dying. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong. I water when they are dry and they have a grow light for 12 hours. Please help and thanks
My Baby Spider plant was found beneath a larger Spider plant. Baby has a different root system. The little one doesn’t seem very solid and I think it needs moral support. In the meantime should the longer leafs be trimmed? The tips are brown. Thanks in advance for your expertise.
Is this rubber plant ready to pot? Thanks for any advice
My pink princess has a new home
Is there a “dormant” setting somewhere? My outdoor caladium will be coming up again soon but a progress update and fertilization schedule is not necessary right now.
Best Indoor Plant Suggestions I am looking into getting a larger indoor plant but not sure what would be the best option given the plants I have experience with. Right now I have the following plants and all are doing very well: - Aloe Vera - Spider Plants - Calico Kitten - String of Pearls - Echeveria varieties - Watch Chain I am looking into the possibility of the following plants: - Monstera - Ponytail Palm - Snake plant - Fiddle Leaf Fig I plan to put this plant near our large sliding door, so it will get lots of sunlight. Some other things to consider is I live where we experience all four seasons, so it must be resilient if it gets a bit cold near the window in the evenings. I also would prefer that it doesn’t get wildly large (or can easily be broken apart to propagate and/or can be trimmed back). Would love to hear thoughts and opinions on the plants I’m considering, or others I may be overlooking!
My orchid has not bloomed in a long time. Any suggestions on how to get it to bloom?
My mom found this leaf and gave it to me and i want to try to get it to grow roots and i was wondering if putting it in water like would work? Or is there something else i have to do? Should i put it in soil? idrk so lmk if you can, tysm!
I got a Xanthosoma and she was doing alright fir a while - and then she started drooping like crazy - I then took her out of the soil and found root rot, I cut off the rot and then transplanted her into LECA, she was SUUUUPER droopy, she ever so slightly bounced back for like a day, and then drooped again, and never bounced back. I don’t have an image after these two, but it completely flopped and couldn’t stand on its own at all. New leaf started shriveling and never unfurled. Since then I knew there was no coming back for that leaf and I cut it off so now it shuts the little ball and the roots. What should I do? Toss it? See if it’ll make some new growth? It’s in leca and then the white pot has water in it with a little charcoal - what yall think??
Does anyone have experience with aquatic plants? My daughter recently added some to her axolotl aquarium and I’d love any tips or tricks to keep them happy.
These dumb cane cuttings were given to me from a 7 ft plant. They are rooting nicely. Can somebody please give me sine guidance as ti when they need to go into pot and about what size pot is needed.
We recently moved to a smaller place, and the plants have been adjusting along with us! 🌿 Our last home had southern-facing windows, but now we have western exposure, so it’s been interesting seeing how they adapt. The humidity here gets much drier in the colder months (and space heaters don’t help! 🔥) ❄️, so we got a humidifier to balance things out. I actually love how everything looks more jungly in a cozier space! ✨
When I first added this anthurium to my collection, I was a lil let down - she got spider mites plus the foliage didn’t rly impress me. BUT its amazing what a few extra months of growth, treatment & a pot upgrade can do to make her ✨pop✨
