hi everyone! i’ve had this brake fern for about month or two. i kind of got it impulsively without realizing this type of fern is a bit harder to keep alive. but it’s been so far so good, i think (my cats do take a bit out of it every now and then). i’m just wondering if it’s looking a bit leggy and i need to prune/trim it down. trying to do my best with taking care of this guy, so any advice is appreciated!

Spring is finally here! Woohoo! 😁 What are your favorite spring plants?! Share some pictures in the comments and we might feature them on our socials 💚
Naked root planter - pros, cons, and best plants for that type of system? I have a handful of plants in pon/leca, some in just water, succulents in all sorts of mediums and substrates, and a jade I rescue from a dumpster that I have no idea how it’s thriving. I’ve seen monstera and other house plants doing well enough in these planters but can’t seem to find much info on much past the pothos, calathea, monstera fan base.
First time getting an orchid. Is it normal for them to bloom then fall off?
Has anyone else heard of this great show coming to Netflix!? Zach Gallafinacus (sp?) is hosting a plant show!! I am hella interested…
Is this String of Bananas or no? Now that I think of it it looks propagated from one but I'm an absolute beginner in cactuses so I'm lost...
Plant Haul Alert! White Princess Philodendron Monstera Thai Constellation Fizzle Sizzle Tips are much appreciated!
Hello! Just got my first anthuriums and I’m wondering how far away from my grow lights they should be placed. I’ve got a humidifier and some little fans for airflow coming in and I’m planning to set them up in my bathroom. The lights are 24W 192 LED Full Spectrum and 5 ft tall.
Went to the garden centre! 😍🪴💖 I love Alocasias, so I picked up a few, along with a Swiss cheese plant, a White Fusion Calathea, and an Arrowhead plant!!! I’m so obsessed!!!
Just bought this peace lily (I’ve never had one) and it was in a 3in pot, I repotted it and found a lot of compacted root growth. I’m looking to buy a different pot since the one I put it in is about 5in (it’s all I have currently) but was wondering what size pot would be better, it’s about 8in tall but seems to be more than one plant. Any recommendations?
So, someone asked if I use the “ice method” to water my Chinese Elm bonsai. Any explanation as to what/how that is? Mine seems very happy starting the growing season…just never heard of that way of watering.
My money plant is flowering!! Apparently my house was cold enough this winter to give it the sensation of over-wintering👏👏
Consider this your official permission to go plant shopping - or hunting! 🛒 It’s World Planting Day, and whether you have a backyard or just a sunny windowsill, there’s a plant with your name on it. 🌳 From a chic indoor Ficus (like this beauty!), to a newly sprouted acorn you found on your walk home, today is about putting down roots. Which plants are you bringing home today?!
I was away for a few months. My friend repotted my agave and it looks pretty bad. Any suggestions on saving it?
how do you know what soil to pot your plants in? I need to repot because some are getting too big for their current pots but i want to do it right. tips?
When you make a really expensive mistake 😭😭😭 zooned out and cut the leaf instead of the stem. Whelp, throwing the node in the prop box. Hope I have a plant in about 3 months 🙃
My wax plant -- is anything wrong? It hasn't grown at all since I got it on October. I water it seldomly according to the Planta schedule and it is under a grow light. Pot with drainage and all.
Moved Severus into a better shallow pot with a good draining soil mix i made. Super healthy roots and large rhizomes🤗 In luv with him💚🥰
My palms have so many seeds! Clearly very happy, which makes me happy 😊
If you are not growing your orchids in water, trust me and do it!! I thought this plant was deadddd and I saw a random video recommending to grow your orchids in water and this plant has been beautiful since!! I thought it was done blooming and it’s shooting out a second set of blooms now! I just recommend you tie the stem to a pole or something cause my is growing sideways😬
