My Alocasia “Polly” lost a stem, and it fell out of the pot. Some very nice Planta member told me to put it in water to grow some roots, so I could perhaps save this stem. Is this stem now ready to be potted, or should it grow more roots? Also, if you can see it, look at the picture of the top of the stem, it appears to be growing something… maybe a leaf, IDK. Can anybody solve this mystery, or is it too early to tell what this is? TIA for any info… 🤗💚🪴

I’m so excited about this Scindapsus Treubii Moonlight, which just found a home amidst a few of my other plants this past week. I had one Silver Satin once before but she died a swift but sad death a couple years ago. This guy is Beethoven, because Moonlight Sonata. Ecstatic to be restarting my collection of Scindapsus with this one. I LOVE the metallic sheen on Scindapsus leaves and can’t wait until the Silver Satin cutting I have now has roots enough to plant! Also, does anyone else name their plants? This photo includes Lottie Moon, Midas, Tevye, and Ella, in addition to Beethoven. Thanks for reading my rave. 😅🪴♥️

Hi! I need some help identifying a plant. I initially thought it was a monstera but the leaves are a lot thicker than any monstera I have seen. It also has slight variegation. I definitely need some help with this one.

I just planted fatsia Japonica in the ground and everything I ready says, “…give it a long drink of water”. That is way too vague for a newbie like me. Can anyone weigh in on this? I ran the hose for 5 minutes each. Is that enough?

Is this root rot?? I got this watermelon peperomia start about 6 months ago and she was thriving, but all of a sudden the leaves started curling and the roots look like this. Help!!

Does anyone pay for planta premium? And is it worth the annual $30 or whatever?

I always admire these split leaf philodendrons on our neighborhood walks 💚 so beautiful how whoever owns them, was able to get them to grow this happy and large outdoors! Makes me want to try it lol, have to see how they fair in the zone 8b wet winters. 😬

I saw this literally 24 hours prior and it was maybe 2 inches tall. It’s grown at least three more inches. What is this?!

I think my rainbow is very healthy, it’s growing many new leaves as if it’s changing leaves, flowers aren’t longer blooming but many new leaves are growing.

Help please! My Croton that I saved from someone a few months back was doing well but still continues to have browning leaves at the bottom of the plant that fall off easily. I follow all the care tips and have done all my research but don't know why he's still unhappy. I initially thought it was burning from too much direct sunlight and moved him further from direct sunlight and it's not helping. I was hoping someone could shed some light. This is only my second Croton and I'm struggling to find the balance with him! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!
