Hello! I have a mixed plant and i have no idea what to do with it. Do you seperate the different plants and make different watering schedules? Do only focus on one part of the plant when doing anything? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
So I just found some onions in my kitchen cabinet and they sprouted WHAT DO I DO WITH THEM HELP
Wanted to share a fun setup! I asked last week about my son wanting a plant in his room - it’s a basement room, the blind is rarely open, and when it is, it’s a small north-facing window under the deck. So clearly not enough light 😅 So, my 6yo and I came up with a cute setup! I remembered he had a kind of terrarium meant to grow chia seeds as an experiment and it came with a lamp in the cover. So we repurposed it, and built a Lego support so it could be above his little spider plant! 😊
Hi all, I need some help. My aloe appears to have root rot, and it feel right off the root base when I was trying to figure out the problem. Is there any chance I can replant this to regrow roots or is it a lost cause?
So I’m a BIG experimenter when it comes to my dying plants. I’ll usually take cuttings of EVERYTHING and throw it in a pot of water to see what happens. So far, my list of FULL WATER plants are: Monstera cuttings (takes a while but it works!) Silver arrow/ Berry Allusion (they love it!) Heart leaf philodendron (takes a while again but works!) Pothos (also loves it!) Chinese money plant (used the dying stem, loves it!)
The leaves on my rubber plant are turning yellow, starting from the base up. Any ideas what it could be? I’m pretty sure I’m not overwatering, that’s usually my first mistake.
I went to an orchid show today!! It was amazing! I’d never been to a plant convention before and I don’t know much about orchids specifically, I will admit. But it was still so cool and stunning. And smelled heavenly! I totally blew my budget buying from the plant and artist vendors 🤭 I was really excited that Ecuagenera (Ecuadorian plant importers) were there with lots of fancy aroids too, since those are more my specialty. I heard about the show last minute (and I’m so glad I did), but apparently they allow pre-orders that you can pick up at shows they go to without paying shipping/import. So I’ll have to do that next time 😂 I still got a FANTASTIC haul! Philodendron bicolor, Antherium luxurians, and my first exotic orchid: a humble cucumber orchid! It looks like baby pickles 🤣💚 And I didn’t stop there, I hit three plant stores on the way home and got a Philodendron mottled dragon! THAT’S it. That’s my quota! I really truly cannot get more plants without having a plant room sale/giveaway lol
I went grocery shopping tonight and saw this pretty girl so of course she had to come home with me! Any idea on what she could be? Her tag was no luck. Thanks in advance 😊
Another Walmart wishlist plant! 🪴 Are the brown leaves goners? It wasn’t watered for a long time, it seems.
Repotting my pilea & I found these pink things! Are they roots?? I’ve never seen anything like this. Or maybe new stems??
Guys I need help!!! I went on vacation and came back to my Peace Lily SO wilted so I watered her a ton, is there anything else I can do to help the leaves raise back up?
I am so upset because all of these plants I’ve been buying from this beautiful plant shop have had problems. Now I find out that three plants that I bought in a bunch had me bugs and now my other plants have bugs… I was questioning it, but then I saw this on a plant that I did not get from the shop, that I’ve had for a while. 😭 Trying not to have a panic attack here 😅 Any suggestions?
I got this plant about a week and a half ago, one of the leaves on the bottom are starting to yellow. it gets great light, and i have not water since i bought it. I am currently watering now bc it is dry. What happened?!
Peace lilies.. any opinions or experiences on transferring them from soil to pon or water?? Is one better or worse than the other? Or just leave them in soil?
Hello everyone c: a few weeks ago I began a year long horticultural internship in NY. I wanted to share some photos with you all from their extensive gardens. It is my dream to work in this field and I feel extremely lucky and grateful. What started out as a hobby will hopefully become my life-long career 💚🌷 (PS it is winter, so all of this photos come from indoor glasshouses) In order of appearance: Daphne odora Primula malacoides Narcissus bulbicodium
Am I alone in almost having a panic attack when I opened Planta today? Now I know that I don’t have to do all of the tasks itemised for today but I’m supposed to be repotting 7 plants!?! Is it because it’s March and the supposed start to Spring? Or is this app trying to get me running for the hills?
Who names their plants? Now be honest…I know I have some named. I bet you guys are creative! Spike my Peanut Cactus Audrey II my Pitcher Plant Gustave my Crocodile Fern
Mold? I just got this plant not too long ago, have done nothing with it. It sits in a sunny window, not too direct Update: Yupp mealy bugs.. and spread to multiple plants from a different place 😅
pink princess, any tips???
