Deciding when to water, is one of those things that drives everyone CRAZY…😵💫! I’m posting a pic of the three moisture meters I routinely use, not including wooden STAKES, (which I use on all my plants that like to be dry before they’re watered.) I’m really having a problem with the white one, which was highly recommended by several of you. Notice the white one shows my plant is 95% wet; COMPARE THAT READING TO THE READINGS OF THE OTHER TWO MOISTURE METERS! I purchased another one of the same white moisture meters, and it is responding the same… it will show my plant is 95% wet for quite a while! (I haven’t actually gotten to that part of the experiment where I figure out how many days it will stay at 95%!) I’m feeling like this is not a very trustworthy moisture meter; why does it show a plant is 95% wet for at least a week or more, when the other moisture meters show dropping moisture values? TIA!

Can I chop and prop my hoya with these little roots? Thanks for the help
So I got this plant at a plant swap. It's a New Rio Philodendrom from what I was told. It has all these little starts in the pot and on the thick stem and I would love to propagate it but not sure how to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks for the help
Potatoes Growing everyday
I see some new growth on my ZZ plant and I’m elated. I’m just worried if there is a mealy bugs infestation on the new growth. (Last two photos). Can someone tell me if I have to worry about it 🥺
So I don’t know how to save this plant and can’t remember the name just got it. It’s a hanging plant please help. Have I over watered it? It’s been extremely windy here and I read that can dry them out and. Its soil was dry so have I over water it 🫣 first photo when I got it and now today it’s like this? I’ve had it 3 days now
I want to put coffee grounds in my dwarf Alberta spruces soil as a fertilizer, but my husband went and bought espresso coffee grounds is that a problem? 🤦♀️🥴
Me if I could design my house (I can’t actually do that I’m still a minor): Btw this is Barton Springs Nursery in Austin, Texas. The place is BEAUTIFUL! They have a koi pond and snapping turtle displays and parakeets and tortoises and tons of wildlife! Totally recommend to go even if ur not buying anything.
Just some silly plant memes :b
Does anyone know what type of plant this is? I’m getting two wildly different suggestions from the app. This has been in my office cube for several years and I’m only just noticing that the bottom leaves are all dead. I’ve been looking a different side and basically ignoring it. Looks like I should repot - any advice? It is quite top heavy…
Is it too premature to have the itch to repot this guy? I’m not sure he’ll widen out more due to current lighting situation
my elder norisle pines were getting a bit root bound so I took out a few of these little guys. Hoping to sell them for a little bit, although Im not sure if it'll become symmetrical like the elders with the little bits of light it has ben getting. Norfolk are really hard to grow indoors and I wouldn't recommend it but these older ones I don't have the heart to sell, and the new ones are gonna be awhile untill they're worth more than like 10 bucks. This one is the largest of the little ones, and he's a bit disoriented from the repotting. Can almost see those two branches as arms like the 🤷. He has no idea what just happened hahaha. ( Older trees also shown for reference.)
my mom got mad bc i ddint buy eggs.... but i have a new cacti
i watered my variegated string of hearts for the first time after repotting her and i should’ve added a layer of rocks or bark underneath because so much soil came out the bottom and into my sink😭 guess im adding more soil when i get back from the gym and being more careful when watering🤷♀️
Hi all Just looking for guidance, I’ve had some root rot issues with Arrowhead plant. I’ve cut infected root, cleaned the plant and managed to get new root successfully by keeping in water. Root is relatively short and seems when I pot it in soil, plant gets de stressed and flops I’ve placed it back in water and wonder if maybe root needs to be much longer before I try and pot again? Has anyone had any experience or advice please Thank you 😊
I just got a Pink Princess about a month ago. It’s been going down hill since then. It was in coco coir. I had it in a semi bright light and watering it when needed. I changed the soil and checked the roots. Roots are small not as much as I was hoping for the size. Still getting worse. I am thinking it would be best to put it in pon or perlite to help it in a different substrate. There are before and after pics. Any suggestions please? And thank you.
Anyone have any brand recommendations / suggestions for liquid fertilizers for house plants ? I’ve yet to buy any and would love to hear what ones you all found work well ! I’ve got a variety of plants so any specific or general fertilizers you recommend would be appreciated !! (⌒▽⌒)☆
My strawberry plant is suddenly very sad :( I bought the two baby plants last week, and immediately repotted. It was very warm, so I had the pot on my balcony in full sun (low temps were around 50F). It rained last Friday, but my strawberries were due for a water anyway. Immediately after the rain, it got cold, so I brought the strawberry inside where she’s now a few feet away from a south facing window. It’s definitely less light than the balcony, but still quite bright. The day after the rain, one of the baby plants is all wilted :( I haven’t done anything to the plant since the soil has been slowly drying out (the top inch is currently dry, and then it’s still damp beneath that). The other baby plant in the same pot is doing great, and I just found a new flower. Every single thing has been identical for the care for these strawberries, they have been in the same pot since I got them. Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix? I know the pot is a bit large, but I added quite a bit of extra perlite to the potting soil (it’s an indoor potting soil) as well as a layer around 4 inches thick on the bottom of the pot of just perlite. As a side note, it’s still pretty cold outside (so she’s been in my south facing window since the cold rain) and Planta says strawberries can be placed outside in pots starting in April in my area.
Hey all, can someone please help me out, what makes the leave turn this way? This is the only one like this
My first plant in my house. Need help! The soil feel dry after watering with 2 ice cubes Saturday. I feel like I should water it again but from what I’ve read on the money tree it should be 7-10 days between watering? Any advice for a beginner would be greatly appreciated! The plants in the East window in the picture.
