Hey there friends! Apologies for posting so much-buttttt I need some assistance with this Aloe Vera plant. Itās actually my mother-in-laws plant and itās not doing so good. Any advice? Iām looking to change the soil and keeping it in the same pot.
Just got this dude for $2.50 at Home Depot⦠any advice?
At The Root Project, we love seeing plants thrive, and this basil plant is a perfect example of resilience and growth! What started as a simple cut stem of basilāsomething many might toss awayāhas now grown into a full, thriving bush. With just a little patience, water, and care, this single cutting developed strong roots, was transplanted into soil, and flourished into a lush plant ready to be harvested for fresh, homegrown flavor. This journey reminds us of the power of nurturing, whether itās plants, communities, or new ideas. If youāve never tried propagating herbs before, basil is a great place to start! Iām looking for advice on this lemon tree (ignore its current placement, Iāve pulled it out to take pics). I bought it majorly reduced at the garden centre and want to nurse it back to life. What should I do? Iāve planted it in ericaceous compost but havenāt fed it or anything yet as I wanted to get advice first. Iāve pruned slightly. Advice and help please š
Helpā¼ļømy rubber tree has spider mites. Where I live I is cold outside so I canāt take it outside and do a thorough washing. I washed it with Castile soap to the best I could indoors. Sprayed neem on it and they came backš«£how I can I get rid of these guys indoors š
My Money Tree was thriving and then suddenly I noticed a mushy stem. I took the plant apart and it seemed the bottom soil was giving root rot (despite being a self draining pot). I removed the mushy stem and then repotted it. Seemed like it was doing better, but now I noticed two other stems are getting mushy (I swear Iām not overwatering!!) should I remove the other two stems? There would be two good stems left. Any tips to save this baby?
Hi! Very new plant mama here. I have several plants ranging from pothos to bamboo to palm to zz to Swiss cheese and a few more. Is there an add in fertilizer that can be used for all species or does it need to be specific. Iāve never put anything on my plants other than water. I have no clue what Iām doing here! Thanks!!
Saturday morning plant memes!! š
My monstera cannot support itself. Any suggestions?
I love this one. What is your favorite?
If look under the locations setting to change the humidity setting. I am on the free Ap and was able to accessā¦
Was just gifted this prop but the lady said she didnāt know what the plant was called that it came off of. This app says is an African milk cactus but Iām not entirely sure thatās right. I need to know how to plant it in the soil - if it needs to lay down how I have it already or if I need to let it sit straight up. Anybody have any ideas? I also have it in a pot with 2 mothers of millions & 1 mother of thousands, which is another reason I would like to know what it is so I can remove it if need be. š
I hadnāt checked on my jade in a minute and found that one of them.. collapsed? Heās had a few problems in the past with rotted leaves and such but nothing this bad. Iām not sure what happened and more importantly what to do. Any advice is appreciated- Iām relatively new to the plant scene but this is my longest-owned plant and I want to keep him alive :(
What are the most popular pon products used as a substrate for semi hydro plants? Iāve been researching Amazon, and there are so many different kinds, I had trouble finding just the right one⦠šµāš«! TIA!
Any tips on keeping baby blue eucalyptus alive? Accidentally killed my first one and i figured I'd try again as i have a 3 time rule. Do they keep well under grow lights? Proper lighting or lumen requirement? Should I follow plantas watering advice or shift it to one that any of u have down? Thank you in advance.
After considerable research, I think Iām going to switch a couple of my very small calatheas, from regular soil to leca, rather than pon. (Theyāre in a tropical plant soil, now.) Calatheas are such a pain in the tutu⦠š! I have constant problems with leaf tips turning brown, and edges of leaves getting spots, so I decided to give this a try. Any tips would be really useful, at this point⦠TIA! PS. I think I might also try this with my golden mosaic, and possibly, some of my anthuriums; what do you think?
Does anyone have any advice on propagating baby spider plants that grow from a mother plant? I usually let them grow in water while still attached the mother plant until they get a few good roots. Then I cut them loose and leave them in the water until they get some strong roots. But it seems that they always die when I transport them into a pot with soil and Iām not sure why. Any advice is appreciated!
