I’m really struggling with naming my bird of paradise plant. Any suggestions? TIA ☺️

I got this plant from my Grandpas funeral and really want to keep it alive and healthy. I repotted my rubber tree into a much deeper pot last week because bottom leaves kept yellowing and it stopped growing a few months ago… but the leaves on bottom keep yellowing (right now bottom 2 and one above the 3rd) and the leaf sheath is staying light green. Any advice?

Hello! I got this ZZ plant a little over a year ago. She’s been thriving and now pretty large. I’m not quite sure the next steps to do. Do I let her just keep growing? Should I stake some growth? Would love any suggestion!

I just bought this beautiful philodendron today! I have one already but she’s not *as* variegated but she’s doing pretty well in the room she’s in and in the self watering pot! Bright indirect light all day, but I’ve moved her here and there to get some direct light too. However this girl has a lot more white on her. Any tips for amount of indirect/direct sunlight she should be getting or should I be doing the same? I want it to last as long as possible, especially with her all white leaf but I also don’t want her burning up.

I went to Ott’s exotic plants today and it was heaven on earth. The plants they have there are unbelievable. I wish I would have known sooner as I would have purchased all my plants here! They have a stunning indoor waterfall and a koi pond. Some of the plants there are too stunning to be believed. I hope to go back again soon as it’s only about an hour from my house. I highly recommend if you ever get the chance to visit. So I managed to spend just a little less than $100. I bought three bee balm plants as I just cleared away years of weeds today and have some great spots to plant them. There were so many indoor plants I wanted but given my $100 budget I could only choose two. I almost bought the cayenne peperomia that Adrian has mentioned as it’s a gorgeous plant. I ended up choosing two that spoke to me - a raindrop peperomia named Pippa and a pepperspot Peperomia named Jada. Now to my dilemma: According to Planta the trailing jade is an advanced plant and above my plant experience level. Did I make a mistake in purchasing it? Does anyone have any tips to share to keep it healthy? It was such a charming plant that it was my impulse buy today. Right now they’re quarantining in my garage near the window for sunlight.

Two part question: what is the stuff on the leaf in the left picture? And if you look closely, what are the teeny white bugs on the plant in the right picture? I did notice that they’re able to fly. TIA!

Hey guys! I’m curious… I’ve had this lady (Queen of the Night) for about 2 years now and she just recently bloomed about a month ago. Of course I didn’t catch it, just woke up one morning to a dead flower ☹️ BUT!! She looks like she’s going to bloom again? I thought they were only supposed to bloom one night out of the year. Has anyone else had their Queen of the Night bloom more than once? Ps. I know she looks real sun stressed but she’s so happy! I have another that is primarily indoors and it’s so much smaller, they were bought at the same time.

I was recently gifted a Flaming Katy succulent cutting, and I have no experience with gardening at all. Is this cutting too big? I'm afraid that the plant won't be able to root because of how many leaves are in the cutting.

Hey guys, I live in Alaska, currently getting a lot of daylight and I did a recent cutting on my Swiss cheese about 1 week ago and the cutting and mother leaves are turning yellow. Would it be from too much light?

So I just got this majestic palm, and I know they can be sensitive to chemicals. I bought some distilled water for the first time watering it, but do I always need to buy distilled water for it? And how often does it need to be watered?

Did you all use neem oil / spray on your house plants to prevent pest ? I also saw something about putting hydrogen peroxide in water when watering the soil to kill pests . Does anyone of this actually work ?

Can anyone inform me on what that is. At first I thought it was a new leaf but it has a bulb. Is it a bloom?

Does anyone happen to know why my begonia is doing this? I think it’s wilting? I’m not too sure but I’ve cut several leaves and the stems aren’t mushy, there’s no signs of rot and I’m doubtful that it’s due to overwatering. I dont think it’s pests either. I originally thought it was too humid so I moved it but there was no change and now it’s losing its last leaf. It’s also is actively putting out new growth just doesn’t hold more than one leaf at a time. Any suggestions? Same leaf in the pics below, before and after!

I started using this app earlier this year, and I noticed that it tends to prompt me to overwater my plants. I want to get on top of my watering schedule because I have a trip coming up in the fall and I want to make it easy on my plant sitter. Is there a way to see the frequency of watering on each plant? I’ve looked around and there doesn’t seem to be anything that’s straightforward.
